   as a sign of solidarity to the gay community, i refuse to go on kirk cameron.

   unless i’ve had, like, an insane amount of sweet tea, then all bets are off.

   I don’t agree with Kirk at all and think he needs to wake up and realize what century we are in. The people that defend Kirk and he is entitled to his own opinion are correct, yes people are entitled to think what they think. The fact that he went on a TV show and used it to voice his opinions, that is where it went wrong. Why was he even on Piers Morgan? Kirk should stick to making his crap born-again movies (yes, I watched one on Netflix streaming a while ago, it was bad).

   I agree that using Kirk to get better ratings is wrong. I really don’t like OWN network. They totally used Bobbi Christina for ratings. I just hope the network goes away soon.

   Why go on the show so she can make that constipated face she does and lecture him like he just threw a baseball through her house’s window? ‘Cause you know that’s what this “interview” would turn into.

   He said ignorant things, but that’s on him. It isn’t up to Rosie browbeat him into apologizing and absolve his sins, as it were.

   Well, if I had to choose between Mel Gibson and this prick, I’d shoot at Mel and hope the ricochet catches Kirk. But that’s only in the event of a zombie apocalypse. I’m not really into violence otherwise. I’d almost make an exception for Mel. But this guy here is just a self-righteous prick. It’d be great if they were zombies though. Then I’d crush their skulls with my boot. Ooh yes.

   Kirk Cameron gives off the vibe of someone who meets a homosexual and is all “Ewww, I might catch its heathen germs.” And I’d find it hard to believe that he’s never gone on TV with an open homosexual before. I wouldn’t trust Rosie to handle an interview with him well, but I’d just ask “Kirk, have you seen any evidence that homosexuality has been destructive to society?” Any answer he gave would make the Westboro people proud, but few others.

   @notwithoutmytv, if KC actually believes what he says, and he is voicing his true opinion, then he has nothing to apologize for. I may not personally agree with him, but him apologizing for voicing his unpopular view serves to end and stunt the dialogue that could be had on the issue. I agree with you, however, that Rosie trying to browbeat him for ratings will simply make the religious right assume that the liberal media has it out for KC.

    I never have liked Kirk Cameron. I think Peirce is an idiot. I don’t like Rosie O. I can’t stand Oprah and I don’t like her either. I OWN up to that.

    Every single one of them are publicity whores. I wonder how pissed off Oprah is at Rosie for not getting this “Get”? After all, if Oprah can take advantage of a child so soon after the loss of her Mother, this should have been an easy one to exploit.

    I can’t stand Kirk Cameron. He gives Christians everywhere a bad name for being so G-D annoying.

    @Derek Hazelton – Yes, he is entitled to his opinion. However, the main problem that I have with what he said is that he goes on about how homosexuals are “destructive to society” etc. and then, when confronted, spits out some crap about how he’s all about loving and not judging.

    Kids are DYING because of shit like this. It’s not just an opinion anymore, it’s turning into real abuse and that’s not okay. It’s the job of parents to teach their children to be accepting and loving individuals. Kirk Cameron’s words are hurtful and potentially dangerous, especially if he’s attempting to spread that message. Have your opinion, fine. But kids are taking their lives because their classmates are repeating hatred and vitriol like this. Where is the line?

    With all due respect georgiababe, it is also the job of parents to teach their kids that everyone isn’t accepting and loving. Some folks are real assholes. Even if they are on TV.

    Kirk Camerons words aren’t dangerous unless someone believes them.

    As far as where we draw the line and what we can do about it in the long run, I have a few ideas. My immediate remedy would be that folks like Kirky shut their piehole and folks like Rosie quit trying to make every day her own Gay Day. They are both responsible for the mess they seem to constantly make.

    I am pretty sure God doesn’t like his greatest creation being called “unnatural”. Also there’s that whole judge not lest ye be judged thing they talk about too. But hey maybe he reads a different version that I do. That King James version can get a little confusing with that funny old people language.

    I don’t understand where Kirk Cameron got his information from that homosexuality is “unnatural”.

    He’s not gay (that we know).
    I assume he doesn’t work with gays.
    No one in his family is gay.
    He’s not friends with gays.
    His church isn’t gay.
