Kody Brown and his four wives are going to sue the state of Utah to challenge the polygamy law. They’re not demanding the state to recognize polygamous marriage, instead they’re asking the state to not punish polygamist for their “intimate conduct” as long as they’re not breaking any laws. As much as I’m not for polygamy, I am for gay marriage…so who am I to judge? I can’t say I’m for one and not the other. Let people live their lives however they want to live it. I’m sure Kody Brown is a true hero in the polygamist community. He’s kind of like their Martin Luther!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I don’t think wife #1 has the intestinal fortitude for a prolonged legal fight. A cop car turned around in their drive way back in Utah and she had full-on hizzy.

What they ought to do is sue Utah for “emotional distress” resulting from the Man breathing down their polygamous necks. Janelle could be Exhibit A.

“Just look at my client, your honor!! When she married Mr. Brown, she was a size 2!!!!”

Hey! I like wife #2. She is the only wife that seems to have any sense. Honestly I think Utah needs to change their law. Intimate conduct should be private.

I think Cody is Smarmy. He acts like a 12 y/o boy most of the time and it take Three women to corner him into adulthood. Wife # four lets him be the child his ADD/ADHD is a big reaon why she hasn’t fit in yet. The biggeest mistake—- agreeing to make this show. They all lost their jobs. Their kids lost the friends. And waffeling between we demand you see us as normal and we are in fear of our lives is just crazy. They may play Mormon but they aren’t. He is just into getting what he wants and is now going to sue anyone who made him look stupid. He should sue himself.

@Giffordsaz: You said what I was thinking! I feel bad for the wives and their kids because this has happened, but I don’t have any sympathy for the guy who signed them up for this show. I’d go ahead and add “self-centered” to smarmy and childish when describing him. At least Big Love has a decent husband that you feel for (mostly).

I wish I could support polygamy as part of marriage equality, but it’s implicitly based on gender INequality and that disturbs me. When men like Warren Jeffs and Merrill Jessup stop abusing the system and they agree to let women have as many husbands as they want, I’ll maybe warm up to it a little.
