Lacey Schwimmer has come to Chaz Bono’s rescue and is calling out all the haters. She said,
“I just think it’s absolutely ridiculous when people have anything negative to say about anybody other than themselves. It’s not fair. It’s not nice. And it’s degrading. I really get sad about it. But at the same time, Chaz and I are not going to be focusing on the haters because we know that they’re going to be there, We’re focusing on the positive and we’ve definitely had so much more positive support rather than the negative. And that’s what important to us. There’s a lot of people against him at this moment because they don’t know too much about him and his whole process. I think that through this show you’re going to see a different side of Chaz. I think people are going to see past, ‘Is he a boy or is he a girl?’ I think they’re going to stop questioning and just accept him for him.”
I’m honestly astonished that people are in such an uproar about Chaz. I don’t get it. How does his sex change affect anyone, but himself? I’m glad that Lacey spoke up…
And either way, love Chaz or hate him…DWTS will score big ratings because of him (and they know it).

Wow, when I make my he/she comments its a total joke. I don’t give an honest rats azz what’s between Chaz’s legs or who.he is sleeping with. I honestly did.not know people were in such an uproar. 10 times out of 10 the complainers will never meet Chaz.Hey gues what crazies thanks to you Chaz is getting my vote(don’t worry my Nancy there’s a vote for.u too)

It’s the Tea Party idiots who are in an uproar, I imagine. The Bible thumping religious folks who have to stick their nose in everybody else’s business and they scream and rage about how people like Chaz and “the gays” and everybody else who’s not exactly as they are are “corrupting” America and the children and goodness knows what else. Bunch of low life assholes.

I am not sure you can blame teabaggers.. then you are not any different than the people just imagining what a horrible person Chaz is. You could blame those Kansas Baptist Assholes who protest military funerals, I don’t think that is a stretch… but not really a political party persay. And I don’t think those Westburo Baptist assholes are any part of the Baptist Organizations that are ‘normal’. I just think ASSHOLES are doing this and need to shut the fuck up.
I hope they show up to LA to protest and get the shit beat outta them.. and some guts too.

I feel like I would be much more enlightened if G.I. Joe had done a P.S.A. on transgenders:

DWTS appears to be having a difficult time finding “Stars”. When you’ve had so many seasons, this could happen. Chaz Bono and Rob Kardashian Jr are D-List stars at best. It’s time for an All-Stars of the show.
Chaz Bono subjected himself to a series of painful surgeries in order to be comfortable in his own skin. How many others commit suicide, do drugs or drink to cover this kind of pain? I admire his tenacity and bravery in doing whatever it took to be himself. And (as someone who really doesn’t like Lacey) I am proud of her for speaking up.
I can honestly say I’ve never watched even one second of DWTS, because I couldn’t care less about dance shows. But, I’ll def be tuned in for Chaz. I hope he dances like a Footloose star and kicks their asses. (But then there’s the part of me that hopes he dances like a drunken camel and stomps all over his partner’s feet. lol) Anyway, good for Chaz for stepping up and representing. And what a great partner he has. I hope they take it all.
I knew they would pair Chaz with Lacey because she seems to be the most open minded of the female dancers. I can see her hanging out in the gay bars with her gay friends. They had Lacey with Lance Bass. I guess she’s the show’s official fag hag although Carrie Ann could give her a run for the money in that regard.
Go Chaz….piss off the haters. They loved it when we couldn’t stand looking at fat ass Bristol Palin’s untalented carcass.
Iona, you can’t call Bristol Palin “fat” when defending Chaz, as Chaz is more “fat”. What does Bristol Palin have anything to do with Chaz going on DWTS? Way to show your intolerance for Alaskan Residents. Either way, both are not deserving of going on DWTS, both are children of “stars” neither are stars.
No hate – just a ? Why doesn’t Chaz have a neck? Both men and women have necks. Is it a side effect of the drugs/surgery-swelling.
His face just kinda melts into his torso – maybe once his system “settles down” his neck will reappear?
@considerthis – I don’t think that’s a result of surgery, I think it’s just because Chaz doesn’t have a long neck and he’s overweight.
I’m in an uproar because I wasn’t aware that Chaz Bono was a star.
Did DWTS actually put out a statement about only casting A-listers, or was that a rumor in some scream sheet? (I know it was mentioned on TVgasm, but I don’t remember the source.) Because if the show really did say that, they totally shot themselves in the foot with the obviously faulty casting, which seems surprisingly dumb for such a carefully calculated show…
I’ll be tuning in the see Chaz and I hope he kicks someone’s ass. Lacey may be more open to more unconventional dancers but I also think she’s the shortest woman so they may pair with the short men.
I respect Chaz and who he is but I’ll always remember the little blond girl who’d come onstage at the end of every Sonny and Cher show as they closed the show.

Needs to take some of mommas $$$ and get a D— if she wants to be a man. I don’t care that much for Nancy and her “know it all mouth,” but she does have rythm.If you are honest, this iBono should have been voted off first go round. Could care less about this “Bono”. If you saw her on the street and did not have momma’s noterity or money, would assume just another D–e.
