Larry Hagman thought it was news to him that he got dumped from the Dallas pilot. He told TV Guide “That’s really interesting. We were talking about money, but I didn’t know it was going to come to a crashing halt like that. You got a scoop for whatever that’s worth: Larry Hagman doesn’t know what’s going on! I thought I wanted to do it, but I didn’t know it had come to this. We were so close to (a deal), I didn’t know there was an issue. I thought more or less we had it down, unless this is a scare tactic. But I don’t need to be scared at my age.”

So was the deadline scoop a sham? Nikki Finke usually is right on the money with her scoops. So, maybe it was Larry’s douchebag agents that screwed it up for him…but it sounds like he wants to do it. And, an iconic show like Dallas that ran from 1978-1991, should have the iconic J.R. Ewing on it, don’t you think? It just wouldn’t be the same. TNT, pull your heads out of your asses, and let ol’ Larry Hagman work. If you’re going to do a reboot, at least give the fans something they want to see.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Maybe they saw the ad I see on Hulu where he says he got out of the oil business because it was too dirty.

They probably did ole JR a favor. As much as I enjoyed the original Dallas, why the hell would I want to watch this crap? If they try real hard, maybe they can make it suck as bad as the new Hawaii 5-0, or even the Brady Bunch Movie.
