Larry King interviewed Sacha Baron Cohen doing The Dictator…I have a question…Is this what happens when you retire? You go from being a respected journalist to someone who doesn’t give a f*ck? I bet you Larry King has become that old dude that just farts and walks and doesn’t care who hears. I bet you even his suspenders have gas. In fact, he’s probably farting during the interview. SBD.

Here’s the interview:

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

It used to surprise me how many politicians and such let themselves be interviewed by Ali G. I’m like, are they in on the joke or just desperate for press? Answer: B.

He had BBC credentials, or at least someone in his advance team did. They set up the interviews, seated the pol or other public figure, keeping everything perfectly normal, waiting for Cohen who always entered the building in business dress and only at the very last minute changed into costume and went into character. Just something I read about that a while back.

Got an “OOPS” screen so didn’t see the video. Funny thing, I downloaded Larry King’s book the other day on my Kindle.

“Truth Be Told” “Off the Record about Favorite Guests, Memorable Momments, Funniest Jokes, and a Half Century of Asking Questions. ”

He has interviewed folks from every walk of life. From Heads of State, to those that gave Heads of State head. His interview style was never “ambush”. He always treated his guests with repect and consequently, they tended to spill the beans about things that they hadn’t disclosed before.

Now, he can fawn over guests with the best of them…. But Dolly was differen’t. Dolly was there and he was tongue tied the whole time. Dolly can disarm an interviewer, she has been around the block, but LK looked like a prepubescent 12yr old when she was there. It was so endearing. His face turned red . I remember this interview because he seemed truly off his game and the only reason for his reaction had to be Dolly Parton and I Love Dolly Parton. My fav interviewer flummoxed by one of my Fav people was enjoyable.

Darn, I just realised that I didn’t cc+p the link to this book. (You can read an exerpt.) Going to make an additional post. I don’t want to lose what I got. Still getting used to the new Site :-) I still c+C just in case.

    TC, Robin

Thanks, Robin. I LUV Dolly too. My favorite quote: “Ya know, it takes a lot of money to look this cheap.”

    On to the exerpt…
