About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I wonder if they will make modifications to the track before actual competition. This was bound to happen, as the track is apparently “too fast” and nobody was allowed to practice on it except the Canadians until fairly recently. Four members of the American team could barely make it down, and the World Champion crashed on the same turn as this poor guy was killed.

Gah,that was awful. I don’t know how the luge teams can muster the courage to continue on with the games.

I suppose it’s not unlike Nascar, where the drivers continue on with the race after having witnessed a fatal crash. Face palm.

Shanti, nobody’s been killed in Nascar since Dale Earnhardt. And if someone dies, they stop the race.

Did you see how they said it was all the luger’s fault? That’s the point: the only reason they crash is when they make a mistake, and they shouldn’t DIE when they crash. Then they changed the track and lowered the starting line, so they’ll go slower. That pretty much says that they know it was the track’s fault. Poor guy…only 21.

well, the beginning and end of me watching this year’s Olympics started and stopped within 5 mins. I set the DVR to record the opening ceremonies, and the first thing they show is that poor guy dying!! I couldn’t believe it– it was horrifying.

It’s a crock of shit that they’re blaming him for his own death, too. There needed to be some sort of cushion where he landed, and the whole thing could have been avoided.
