Lots of changes on The X Factor this upcoming season…looks like Simon is cleaning house because Steve Jones, Nicole Scherzinger, and Paula Abdul are all out!

Steve tweeted:

Fox confirmed that Nicole and Steve got the ax today, but the latest is that Paula is out too. That means that the last judges standing are L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell. So insane. I can’t believe Simon would let Paula go after all they’ve been through. I thought she would be forever, but I guess all good things must come to an end. I wonder who they’ll bring on? I’m sure they’ll be buzzworthy.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

All this flailing is making X-Factor seem even more a failing.

I’m surprised to see Paula go. Oh well, the X-Factor was a huge disappointment so hopefully this will be a step in the right direction. Nicole and Paula were both pretty useless.

I’m not surprised that Paula is leaving. I thought it was poor judgement to have her as a judge in the first place — how do you distinguish Xfactor from Idol if half the judging panel is the same as the original and they’re still doing they’re same schtick? I might give the show a second chance (I gave up on it pretty early) if the new judging/hosting choices are interesting. But I think there’s a glut in the talent show market right now, and Simon just might have to accept that there’s no room for X-Factor in North America right now. Time will tell.

Nicole was useless, so she needed to go.
I liked Paula and Steve though.

Let’s just get rid of the whole show.

I LOVE X-Factor UK. But the US version sucks hard. I’ll just stick to the original.
