There will be a lot of Whitney Houston tributes this week on TV. Here is a partial list from The Washington Post so you can say your goodbyes. I’m sure more specials will be popping up, but this is the most comprehensive list I’ve found so far.

It’s so sad…

First, here’s a CBS news piece on Whitney from this morning:

And…Here are the listings (from the Washington Post):

Monday

10 a.m.: “Big Morning Buzz Live” on VH1

6 p.m.: BET has a special three-hour episode of “106 & Park” (at 6) honoring Houston’s life and legacy

8 p.m.: Lifetime will air “The Bodyguard” (at 8), the famed movie starring Houston and Kevin Costner.

9:30 p.m.: VH1 news special “Whitney Houston Death of a Diva” (at 9:30) takes a look back at her life, and has reactions from people in the music industry.

Tuesday

Noon: VH1 Classic hosts a three-hour “A to Z Whitney Houston video” retrospective.

Thursday

9 p.m.: OWN has “Remembering Whitney: The Oprah Interview,” as Oprah talks about her own memories of Houston and shows her last interview with the singer.

VH1 hasn’t confirmed a time yet, but will have a special looking back at Houston’s legacy, with footage of her appearance on “VH1 Honors” in 1996, and “VH1 Divas” in 1999 and 2003.

Friday

The NAACP Image Awards air Friday at 8pm on NBC.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Oh, I hope they DON’T show Whitney’s appearance on Diva Duets from 2003… that was when she wore this awful lemon-yellow outfit, and was appearing seriously bloated for the first time I could remember, and her voice was starting to give out, she was trying to sing “Try It On My Own” and could not get through a single line without taking giant heaving breaths. Plus her “duet” was with Bobby. Poor Whitney, every mistake is captured on video somewhere… :(

I don’t know how much more tribute I can take – whilst driving today, I kept tearing up from all the Whitney Houston songs being played…

“But Officer, I’m not drunk – it’s WHITNEY!” **sobbing again**

I know, and I truly don’t want to belabor. But this was a good article. I wanted to share it.
