Sex With Mom And Dad With Dr. Drew

MTV is doing a new series, Sex…with Mom and Dad with Dr. Drew. I think this is a very responsible show and I’m glad that MTV is doing this to counter some of the other stuff they put on their network. I feel like this is the reprise of Loveline (when it was on MTV), but for 2008.

On this show Dr. Drew will get families talking honestly and openly about sex. Each half-hour episode will tackle subjects like, “a promiscuous teen whose mom can’t control his “manwhore” behavior; a virgin heading off to college whose dad refuses to give her the sex talk she desperately wants; to a gay teen whose mom is troubled by his taste for bad boys.”

Sex…with Mom and Dad
starts September 29th at 7PM ET/PT

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Good. It just boggles my mind that some parents refuse to talk to their children about sex. Abstinence only sex education DOES.NOT.WORK. There are countless studies and statistics to prove this.

Wouldn’t you want your daughter to have safe sex than to contract AIDS because you didn’t want to tell her anything? Sure, kids at 14 shouldn’t be having sex, but it’s a lot better than dying of AIDS.

I couldn’t agree with you more. It was never talked about in my house as a kid and it’s still taboo. I know I’m not the only one either. I grew up in Catholic school if that tell you anything.

Kids are contracting STDs so much younger these days too. It just sucks. I’m glad they’re doing a show to open it up the topic a little bit. it’s about time.

    WTF heeba!!
Talk about sexual repression growing up…my mom got very upset with me when she found out I was on the Pill. WHEN I WAS 21 YEARS OLD…THREE MONTHS BEFORE MY FREAKIN’ WEDDING!!!! Yeah, I think it’s time to acknowledge your daughter is going to be doing the wild thing once in a while. Of course, this was a long time ago.
