Sadly after all that hype, Mockingbird Lane, The Munsters reboot, looks like it’s not getting picked up. There is not an official “no” from the network yet, but word is that they’re leaning towards a “No.” So sad because the cast alone sounded AMAZING!! With Bryan Fuller as the head honcho and actors like Jerry O’Connell, Eddie Izzard, and Portia de Rossi–how could you go wrong? Was it because they were all in costume and it got too theatrical? Did it get too expensive? Did the pilot suck? Tear.

I made fun of the show when they first announced it, but once the cast got on board, I was in. I feel like this is one show they should have given a chance to. But really, if this cast can’t pull off a comedy reboot, then who can?

**UPDATE** IT’S NOT DEAD! Bryan Fuller tweeted, ”NBC just informed me the Deadline article regarding #MockingbirdLane was Dead Wrong. Stay tuned for updates!”

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Could they have an episode where they open a hotel and Ramsay comes to fix it and Honney Boo Boo is the entertainment and poor old Ramsay runs into the night screaming and crying? And becomes Amish? Please?
And devotes the rest of his life to costume design?

I never saw the original TV show, but I really liked that guy who played the grandpa in every other thing I ever saw him in.

Sooo….NBC will go for Animal Practice.
But they won’t go for the genius who made Pushing Daisies, Portia de Rossi and Eddie fucking Izzard.

    Oh, okay. Makes perfect sense.

Yeah, Animal Practice was fucking terrible. And this is coming from a girl who would watch a cutesy show about animals with no shame….if it were good.
