Rosie and Fran have been talking about doing a project together for a while now, but now the details are out. It’s called, The New Thirty, and it will be about old high school friends that all live in the same apartment building in Manhattan and about to hit their midlife crisis. Fran labeled it, “It’s kind of ‘Sex and the City’ but we ain’t getting any.”

Fair enough Fran. I think the show will be cute and sounds like something my mom would watch if she spoke English. j/k (she speaks, just wanted to say it’ll be a mom show). ;-)

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I believe this show is the US ‘version’ of an utterly fantastic Aussie show called “Kath & Kim”, which is soooo hilarious but probably wouldn’t translate all that well to a broader market, hence this loose ‘version’ starring those two BORES………….

I love Kath and Kim, but it’s not that. I discovered Kath and Kim when I was in Australia a few years ago and thought it was brilliant. Kath and Kim is being redone in the US but with Selma Blair and Molly Shannon as Kath and Kim. I actually went out to be Selma’s sidekick in the pilot episode in April but didn’t get the part. This is unfortunately something else. Sounds like an AB FAB cross over, but they could never pull off being a Patsy or Edina.

Now, AB FAB is still my fav. show, I would do anything for it to be on still. I still DVR the re-runs on the BBC channel and watch it before I go to bed every night. I fall asleep in the first 4 minutes everytime since I’ve seen them all. ha.

Here’s another detail about this show. I wouldn’t watch it if Rosie herself paid me to sit through it every week. And, I’m a mom.

If you paid attention to what she was saying, and not what the media spins, you’d have an entirely different opinion Memememe. But with a username like that, it doesn’t sound like you’re the most selfless, giving, patient mother. I mean, it’s all about Mememememe when it comes to motherhood, right?

Hey Nads…. TVGasm is mentioned on Rosie’s blog. Miriam asked Ro why she had to here about this show from TVGasm and not her blog and Rosie responded with “we have no news about it yet.” It is in the “Ask Ro” section of her blog.

    Wow… you got her attention!….

Oh, right – thanks for the correction, nads.

BTW – they already did an AB FAB cross over (rip off?) and it was called Cybill.

I adore AbFab, but Cybill wasn’t bad.
