Wow! The rumors are true, Princess Minaj and Queen Carey are fighting on Idol already!!!! TMZ released this video yesterday of the two divas going at it. You can hardly hear what’s going on, but it’s there…

Here’s the vid:

This is what they say:

Nicki  Get this s**t in self control.  Get in control.  Get in control.

Randy  Settle down, settle down

Nicki  Don’t lose your head.  Don’t lose your head (inaudible).  Don’t tell me I’m a gangster.

Nicki  (inaudible) every 5 minutes.  So every time you patronize me, I’m-ma take it back, and if you’ve got a f**king problem, handle it.

Nicki  I told them I’m not f**kin’ putting up with her f**king highness over there.  Figure it the f**k out.  Figure it out.

Nicki  I’m not gonna sit here every f**king minute to have you come down and harass me every minute everyday.

YIKES! Well, if anything…people will tune-in to see the two divas fighting.

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I have to wonder if this was staged to get more people to watch the show… (I hate being such a skeptic)

Doubt it because you can see Nigel Ass…I mean Lythgoe hovering in the corner confused and even in the grainy video you can kinda see Urban kind of gritting his teeth.

Ugh, Nicki is so annoying and low-class.

Why is she even judging a competition about singing when that bitch can’t sing? And she wants to go up against Mariah Carey of all people. Mariah who was earning platinum records while Nicki was failing at being a waitress at Red Lobster.
The only advantage Nicki has over Mariah is the legion of demons living in her body, and we all know how temperamental those guys can be. They might not back her up when the time comes to throw down.

She needs to have a stadium of seats and sit all the way down in every last one of them, because she is not about that life.

I cannot stand Nikki Minaj, Roman…and whatever other Gaga, Madonna rip off persona she is trying to be.

I am not the biggest fan but show Mimi some respect. Poor Keith.

    That really chaps my ass.

Agreed Gypsy this chaps my ass too…

Mariah is an established artist. Her voice may not be what it was but she definitely could sing and was trained. Nikki Minaj is on the show for ratings. I couldn’t give two shits what she thinks about an artist.

For all the NM haters, this show is being marketed toward teenagers for teenagers, so she is of the moment, more so than Ellen, Kara DioGuardi, J-Lo, etc. Marketing a show toward teenagers that is judged by women old enough to be their (grand)mothers is a huge mistake and made the overhaul necessary. NM isn’t there for her talent; she’s there because young people like her and she may bring in a more urban audience than the show has had before.

I hear you Derek but does she need to be yelling like that is all I’m saying. You wouldn’t see Britt screaming at Madonna would you (a little dated but you get the jist)?

Classy, they say a person with that vocal range only has so many years before they burn out. That high C over E is rare and needs to be carefully tended to. Not sure Mimi did that as much as she should. I do miss her old voice though….she could bring down the house with it.

I’m voting staged – with The Voice kickin AI’s ass Nigel needs a Hail Mary (or a Hail Manaj) to stay relevant – especially with 3 1/2 months until the show starts.

It’s hard to believe that it Mariah is the one being cool.
It seems like only yesterday she was convinced she was invisible & took a bath with her clothes on.

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that Mariah Carey is a diva. But on that same token, Nicki Minaj should probably realize she’s a fad.

I think Nikki Minaj is the kiss of death for AI this season. I havent really watched the last few years, and now that NM is judging I will not be watching. She is trashy and has no credibility as an artist IMO.

I really do not care what she thinks. How the producers thing thought this was a good idea was beyond me. Mariah Carey and Keith Urban are much more experienced, talented and successful than Nikki and I am sure they could have found somebody with more class and talent than Nikki.

Whoever wrote this article, the last line is totally incorrect! Don’t ever put NM in the “diva” status! The bitch has NO TALENT what so ever! She is nothing but a fad! Mariah IS a diva and will always be one- she is one classy lady. NM is very envious of Mariah’s talent because she KNOWS she will NEVER be as good as Mariah… end of story..

There was rumblings weeks ago that Mariah was very condescending to Nikki and would interrupt her constantly while she was giving a critique. And since this isn’t the live show, that fight could’ve been edited out. Why did the producers release it except to amp up more drama? Either way, Mariah would be a bitch to any of us sharing a panel with her, especially because she believed herself to be the only woman (J.Lo’s replacement for more cash) on the panel this season. It was a blow to her self esteem to see how Jlo held it down and here come mariah, who can actually sing, and they decide they need a forth judge to bring in more ratings. Ouch! Ego burns.

And while some may say Nikki Minaj is just a fad, well, so is American Idol. And to stay semi-relevant they will need to pander to the people who give enough of a shit to vote every week. And those ‘people’ are made up of a lot more teenagers/young adults than they are grown ass folks who remember when Mariah’s “Dreamlover” video came out.

Good point Derek about Nicki being there to bring in a young audience. However, Nicki is also old enough to be parent to some of these teeny boppers. People forget she’s 29 because of how she dresses and behaves. I see your point though.

That said, her 15 min can’t be up soon enough for me. I don’t mind a talentless, gimmicky pop act (that much). Those One Direction boys seem harmless for example. But Nicki’s ego is OUT of control and unwarranted which is why I can’t stand her. I don’t mind a diva as long as the title has been earned

The word, or shall I say title, diva is bandied about quite a bit and it seems that there are at least two definitions. Mariah is a Diva in the sense that she is an established star with genuine gift, however untended.

Niki is a diva in the Toddlers & Tiaras sense. She is spoiled and needs attention, just what her teeny audience gives her. AI is courting that demographic and Nicki may bring them in. The fights won’t hurt the ratings either. Planned? Gasoline + bonfire =

How come they showed THIS fight, but totally edited out the one where Keith Urban dangled Randy Jackson out the window until Randy tearfully agreed to stop calling Urban “Mr. Kidman”?

Bah, just something to draw attention. Next thing you know they’ll be flipping tables with a hapless wanna be singer in the background looking all deer in the headlights.

Yeah, I did read that apparently Mariah started it for being condescendingand eventually calling Nicki a bitch. It’s a verbal catfight, those never make much sense. And I know I’m in the minority, but when it comes to music, I’ll take Nicki over Mariah any day.
