Since Nicole is pregnant, she decided to drop out of her next film, Scott Rudin’s The Reader, which means that Kate Winslet has taken over. She will star opposite Ralph Fiennes in the film. The role was originally for Kate and written for Kate, but because Kate was busy working, Nicole took it over. However, Nicole’s schedule kept getting pushed back, and now she’s preggers, so fate had it’s turn and it’s now back to Kate. The film is about “a young man’s decades-long obsession with an older woman in Germany runs headlong into a war crimes trial, where he learns an awful truth.” I’m not opposed to period pieces, but I’m king of getting sick of the abundance of them right now. And, it’s always either Kate, Keira or Nicole that play in these pieces. Think it’s because they look best in a corset?

Don’t get me wrong I think that these three woman aka The Corset Posse (Scarlett is a step-Corset posse member, she hasn’t been jumped in yet) are the best suited for these period piece roles, but it’s time for a new break-out star. I don’t want to see Keira’s accent getting thicker and thicker as the time pieces get older and older.

And, Nicole, I really have a love-hate with her. She’s either really good, or she kind of makes me want to throw up in my mouth.

And, Kate, I have no complaints as of yet. I think she’ll be great for The Reader but she’s almost teetering that fine line of almost being “period piece soiled”.

All I’m saying is we need a new member to be a part of the Corset Posse. Who will it be?

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.
