Nigel let Idol have it, he thinks Idol should focus more on the talent, rather the judges, and that Simon’s seat should remain open.  He said, “It’s never been my opinion that four judges work on that program because it should be about the talent…The team took their eye off the ball a little bit and was more worried about the judges and what was happening with them than it was regarding the talent last year. It became about Kara joining and making the fourth judge, Paula leaving, Ellen joining and Simon leaving and much more about them and concentrating on that than on the talent that they were finding.”

He’s absolutely right.  It’s called American Idol, not American Judges.  Adding Kara last year just muddied the waters. And, I never thought I’d say this, but I liked Kara so much better this year because I was so focused on how bad a of a judge Ellen was.

I’ll say this…It’s hard NOT to focus on the judges when the talent they bring us isn’t stellar.  I say get rid of Ellen, bring in someone with music credibility, cast good talent, and call it a day.  It’s that simple…right?

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

And I say: No thank you for the photo! lol

Nigel is right, this show should not be about the judges but it’s the producers who make it about the judges like we care. If you get better talent you will have a better show, simple.

Nigel should listen to his own advice. His super-perv comments on SYTYCD are easily as distracting and unnecessary as anything that happens on Idol.
