Not So Fast, Kelsey! Number 4 Will Have To Wait

Camille Grammer’s request to postpone her divorce has been granted. That means that douchebag Kelsey can’t speed up the process to get on with his life with his new fiance, Kayte. Camille’s lawyer asked the judge for more time so he can review pension information regarding their estate. I’m sure Kelsey is SOO pissed! I love that he’s just trying to move on, and marry Kayte as if his last marriage didn’t even exist. Why the rush? Who cares? Kayte will soon be an ex-wife at the rate Kelsey gets married anyway. The longer they wait, the more time they may actually stay together.

I actually feel sorry for Camille (I can’t believe I just wrote that). I know she totally sucks as a human being, but Kelsey seems pretty damn demented, and heartless. I guess it takes crazy to marry crazy.

I can’t wait for the reunion tomorrow!

    I’m sort of siding with him. Why wouldn’t he want to move on? After all, we don’t know how long they had already been unofficially separated. And why wouldn’t he want to move on to something else as soon as possible? He was married to Camille for something like 17 years. If he was unhappy, why wouldn’t he want to try to be happy? If you have just eaten something that tasted nasty, would you want to sit there and savor the nasty taste? Or would you want to eat/drink something else that tasted better to get rid of the bitterness?

    I agree @snooty — usually I’m all for the spouse wronged, but after getting to ‘know’ Camille I honestly can’t blame him for leaving her. I do blame him for finding a new wife while still married to the last, especially for his kids sake. And I’ve never bought the whole ‘my wife is awful so I’m leaving but not taking the kids with me’ rationale. But then, who am I kidding? He left the kids with the four nannies. And even then Camille shipped off the son to live with Fraze and the new honey.
    Those poor kids are so fucked. Or in Camilles vernacular — those things are soooooo haaaaaaaard. Now take them away! Mommy has a headache.

    I wouldn’t want to drag it out. He clearly doesn’t want to be with Camille. I understand that she wants to get everything properly taken care of in the divorce settlement, but it’s time to let it go and move on. I think the 50 million you are probably going to get will take care of you and your children.

    Camille’s no dummy. She knows if she grants Kelsey a divorce before they agree on property division, she will lose all of her bargaining power. So, she’ll hold out until he just says, “Feck it!” and gives her what she wants.

    Maybe all the hooplah that kelsey is going through with Camille will convince him to get a prenup with Kayte.

    I read that they want to marry next month. What’s the rush? Is Kelsey not capable of casually dating? Or does poor Kayte need a green card?

    Quite often in a case where there are large marital assets to be divided, the divorce attorneys do ask for more time in order to make sure that all such assets are fully disclosed before their client signs a property agreement. So it is not unusual for Camille’s attorneys to have done so, thereby protecting their client and their own retainer. I agree with sarcasatire that Camille is also protecting her bargaining power with the delay; if he wants to get married again, he has to go through her first and he might be willing to pay her even more to hurry things along. I wish that I felt that she was as protective of her children as she is of her bank account.

    Why would she “ship” her son off to NY and not both of them? I don’t pay enough attention to the tabloids to know what is going on with these two, so I am lost a bit. I know that Kelsey got Kayte preggs, and that is pretty much why he left Cam, but if he is rushing to get married next month is it possible that she is preggs again? I only caught the last half of this crapfest, so I am going to watch the reunion tonight…lord help me :) can someone please help me out here with a recap on Cam. Thanks

    I’d hold out until he gave me every last asset. Camille’s a jerk, but this guy’s a real tool for flaunting his affair. Even if he doesn’t care about his wife’s feelings, he needs to put his dick away and think about his kids.

    Alison, I don’t think she is pregnant. This isn’t the first date they have tried to set. Originally they were going to get married on new years eve, but the divorce wasn’t final. I think there was a date before that, come to think of it, November maybe? I think they will just keep moving it along until they are actually able to marry.
