O.C. Housewives star, Alexis Bellino took to her blog to defend her kids stroller falling in the pool on the 4th of July. She blogged:

I am choosing to comment on the July 4th story that is being told because it is inaccurate and has been spun out of control by the media.  The only way for the truth to be told is for me to tell it myself.

On Sunday, July 4th, my family was leaving the Balboa Bay Club swimming pool in the late afternoon. As we were leaving, I turned to say goodbye. Our girls were in their stroller and I thought I had put the brake on, but apparently I didn’t. My husband, Jim, and I were both standing close to the stroller. Within seconds, the stroller had rolled towards the pool and a stroller wheel rolled off the edge of the pool. Before either of us could grab the stroller, a second wheel rolled off the edge, and the stroller went into the pool. Of course, Jim instantly went into the pool. He grabbed of the girls himself and lifted both of them out of the water. Because the girls were not strapped into the stroller, and Jim was right there, their heads did not even go under water.

While we are not making light of this incident, and have been reminded to never take our eyes off the children for even a second when near water, it has been so hurtful to know how this experience has been mischaracterized in the media. To all of you who have offered your support, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

I’m so happy that she took the time to blog about the incident to clear it all up, because I’m sure this has NOTHING to do with trying to generate more press to get more screen time for this upcoming season of the O.C. Housewives. I’m surprised that she didn’t blame it on the nannies, or say that out of nowhere the concrete lifted to an incline of 45 degrees, and that’s why the stroller carrying her two kids simply rolled right in.

And, by Alexis saying Jim jumped in the pool, by that does she mean the lifeguard?

All I know is that I’m excited to see more O.C. Housewives…just when I thought I was totally over the show, they roped me back in last season. I wonder if “stroller-gate” will be in this upcoming season?

    Ya know what? I am getting so jaded when it comes to these nut case housewives that I truly wonder if it isn’t just a publicity stunt.With the kids being the stunt-kids.

    Alexlax also did the same thing we have seen her do before..she blames herself for not putting the brakes on.Of course it is her fault!It isn’t as if a Father should ever have to do those mundane things..like looking after his kids when they are 3 ft away from him.

    From what I have gathered is that the hubby felt no guilt whatsoever for the kids per norm,it isn’t his place to make sure the break was on!And now that the kid’s accidently?..ahem ..took to the water like kids who’s parents were too busy saying good-bye,he truly thinks he should be treated like a hero! He has mentioned many times that if it weren’t for him the kids might have drowned.He is especially upset because there was no lifeguard? That’s just truly pitiful.He blames the lifeguard because he had to get his own children out of the water.

    Do you rekon that they are broke and they kept mentioning the lifeguard to get a nice settlement from that country club? Cuz it looks kind of fishy when the father of children complain that they had to save their own kids.Never seen such.

    Take Care,Robin

    According to witnesses a lifeguard pulled the stroller out with one of the girls still in it. Greasy Jim jumped in and got the other one. Maybe if they had bubbie implants like mommy they’d have floated to the surface. 2′s not too young for that is it?? Seriously, though, I’m glad they didn’t get hurt.

    Why do they even have a stroller? Aren’t they too old (they have to be almost 3 by now, aren’t they?) to be using a stroller to get them to their car? I have 3 children and after the first year, none of them were in a stroller unless we were running an errand or they were in the jog stroller when I was running. That’s because I PARENT my kids and let them walk around while keeping an eye on them That meant I rarely ever had a chance to socialize at a party because I was off in the open space where my kids could move around, or I was in the pool with my kids. Fortunately, as a result, I have 3 kids I can take anywhere with me. Now I can socialize and talk and know that they will behave, not break anything, not hurt anyone or themselves and not fall in the pool. “parents” who either keep their children confined to make their lives easier, or always leave them at home while they shop, eat, party wind up with kids who never learn how to behave out in public. Me thinks Mexico probably just got two of its residents back and the new nanny search is on. And Robin, are these two also on a financial precipice?

    I think Tammy Faye Funbags and Preacher Pawn are ignoring a direct message from God – get Thy fame-whoring surgically enhanced asses out of the public eye…

    I love how instead of just copping to being an incompetent parent, she once again LECTURES and CHASTISES the public whose opinion she so relentlessly panders to. FU duck-lips, we see you for what you are – and you’re only relevant as long as you can support yourself through the parasitic lifestyle you have, that’s based on the misfortune of others…

    Chemgal – I so agree with you on the hands-on parenting style. It seriously drives me crazy how ill-mannered so many little kids are these days, and their parents act as if they have no control over it. I also DETEST parents who insist on bringing their children to events that aren’t really kid-friendly and then letting them run wild, or pawning them off because they assume you think their precious little darlings are as miraculous as they do. My stepdaughter does that, I finally put my foot down and told her if she brings her kids to adult events she has to be within their reach at all times – and NO CHILDREN after 8 pm. PERIOD. Adults are entitled to have a life that isn’t being dictated by people who will throw themselves on the floor in a rage if you say “No cookie”.

    I have to give fat-boy Jim props though – because he obviously hates being a father at 48 years old; he must have been tempted for a sec to let the survival of the fittest take it’s natural course, LOL. Plus two less kids = more time for Viagra fueled Blow-J’s….

    I love it. We’re supposed to be impressed that Jimbo jumped into the pool, as opposed to being struck by the fact that she did not.

    @chemgal,

    I was just speculating about them being broke because it seems like many of the “housewives” are on the bankruptcy road.And I don’t have a lick of sympathy for any of them.

    As far as Jimbo and Alexlax are concerned,after reading Prodigal Cheeze’s response they probably aren’t broke.Especially due to the economy.Because they get their $ off the backs of people that are suffering hard times.They run a buisness that charges extraordinary interest on title loans and payday loans.

    I know there is a market for it and it may have gotten someone out of a jam once..what I find distasteful is that they are hypocrites.They make a show out of donating to the church,but if they really wanted to help someone they could drop their interest rates and quit raping people of what little bit of money they have.

    Oh thanks goodness Robin because I thought I had missed some juicy gossip. I really, really try to be a good person and think good thoughts but some of these housewife characters make it a real challenge, and I despise these two almost as much as Teresa and Kelly. I’m sure once they are featured more next season they will pull ahead (can that count as a positive thought?) So I have to be honest and admit that I HOPED you had heard some good gossip as there is no one I would love to introduce to poverty and the meek of the earth more.

    @Prodigal,Glad you liked it :-)

    @chemgal,Sorry..no gossip.Although I do wish that I could report that Alexlax and Jimbo are financially strapped and are forced to subsist on high interest auto,title loans.
