Guess who’s going to interview our President this time? None other than Ryan Seacrest. Yeah, no joke. Obama is going on On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Election day. I can’t believe Obama agreed to do the interview! Does Obama realize that you can’t vote for your favorite candidate through text message?

First it was The View, then it was The Daily Show, and now he’s going on with the American Idol host and Kardashian producer, Ryan Seacrest. What’s he gonna go on next? Conan’s new show?

Ryan Seacrest is asking fans to submit their questions via facebook. Click here if you want to join in on the fun.

BarackObama

I have some burning questions for the President…

-Who’s gonna win Dancing with the Stars this season?

-Do you think Paula’s new dance show will do well? And if so, do you think it stands a chance next to Idol?

-What do you think of Danielle Staub’s departure on The Real Housewives of New Jersey?

-Do you agree that The Salahi’s are con-artists? And do you remember meeting them at Rock the Vote?

-Did you see Sarah Palin’s Rock Climbing video? Thoughts on her new show?

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I think it’s less about him being deluded and more what the best panel is to get your message out from. Even since Bill Clinton went on Arsenio, savvy candidates tend to use pop culture as a way to get their message out. I think it’s a great way to inspire more people to vote.

Maybe he should stick to being the president instead of going on every TV show and vacation

Or maybe he should resign his position and get a reality show.

I am not sure what they problem is here. The demographic he is attempting to target watches and listens to these shows and it is election time. I think apart of his position is to help campaign for his candidates.

It’s just the same as holding a rally to get your party excited.

@Classy you’re right, and I worked on the original Clinton Primary campaign back in 1991, when the idea was first raised that he should do an appearance on MTV and answer questions from the studio audience. He did, and that was probably the swing vote population that got him elected – up until that point getting people in the 18-25 age range to commit to voting, and more importantly INFORMED voting, was very difficult then.

If politicians want those votes, they have to put themselves in front of the voters, and preferably within the context of their own comfort zone.

I’m a registered Republican and probably won’t vote for Obama (unless Palin or a Tea Party candidate runs), but I think he’s smart to go after young voters this way.

    Thanks LAC – happy voting!

BTW – One added benefit of doing media appearances like this one is that it doesn’t cost as much as a planned and populated standard campaign appearance. The networks are footing the bill for everything but the Secret Service and travel costs.

@Nads, I think that Presidents past and present watch trash television but they have to pretend that they don’t so they seem intelligent.

I actually would feel better about myself if I knew that the President had fallen victim to watching (addicted to) the Jersey Shore like I am.

I agree with you classy (shocking, I KNOW). I was watching Lawrence O’Donnell last night and he was whining about it and Arianna Huffington rationally pointed out that if the point of the last days of a campaign is GOTV it makes more sense to reach unlikely voters in the chance that you can convert a few to actual voters.

Much like his TDS appearance, it won’t take up that much time since he’s doing the interview remotely so he gets some free airtime to encourage a very large audience to vote.

    vallegirl-hahahahaha!!!

This is what I effin hate about politics. It truly doesn’t matter, everything a politician does will get ripped by the other side(s). People complain about the disconnect concerning young voters, yet when a politician tries to bridge the gap by visiting relevant venues, he/she is bashed. Yeah, I think Seacrest is a vapid tool, but for some reason he has a huge following-for crying out loud, more young people vote for Idol then for elected officials, why not try to reach them instead of alienate them? If McCain won, his advisors would be telling him to do the same thing-and guess what? He’d take vacations too!! For crying out loud I’ve never been so happy to see Nov.2, but of course now we have to put up with all the 2012 Presidential race BS. Yay.
