I’m not surprised that Syesha got kicked off at all. But, I am a little surprised that Mayor Daniel Snarr of Murray, Utah declared May 9, 2008 as “David Archuleta Day.” Which happens to be the same day as “Syesha Mercado Day” declared by Gwen Brown. There was no notice, no myspace bulletin…I mean how was I supposed to celebrate with no notice? How rude! AND, how rude that David Cook didn’t get designated a day by Kansas City? I’m just saying.

As suspected, next week is the battle of the Davids! I can’t wait!!!! I’ll drink to that.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

David Cook actually did get a day named after him – I guess they just didn’t show that.

I knew someone would write that, but yeah, they didn’t show it! DAMN. I would actually celebrate David Cook day. I love him so…

You like David Cook? FINALLY, someone else!

The AI recaps (well, mostly Flip’s) and the comments are usually full of Cook hate. People keep telling me he’s so pompous, but I just don’t see it. Truly.

    Cookie FTW!

georgiababe, Cook really is quite conceited and, yes, pompous.

He acts like he believes his own press.

He is a legend in his own lunchtime, perpetually shrouded in a fug of smug.

But he *is* talented. I have no idea who will or should win. Cook’s probably more talented than ‘cool church’ Archuleta, but the little guy is oh-so-malleable (rabid stage Dad notwithstanding…)

And I know it wasn’t entirely original, but Cook’s version of Billie Jean was one of the best things this season, as well as a couple of great numbers Chikieze did.
