oprah

Oprah had her Favorite Things episode, and allegedly it was her biggest one yet. She even had paramedics on standby in case anyone passed out. She said, “We had a couple of paramedics on standby because this audience – I’ve seen a lot over the years – but I’ve never seen people act like that.”

I kind of love that she has paramedics on set waiting for pass-outs. I make fun of those overly dramatic people on her show, but I swear I think if I were in that audience, I’d be one of those people passing out too.

Here’s a preview of what’s to come. What I would do to be in that audience!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I got chills just watching it! A lady who gets her hair done at the shop I go to won a trip to Oprah’s favorite things one year from a local television station. She said she did not have a moments peace from family and friends once everyone found out

The paramedics were a good idea. Who knew winning a stack of candles and a cashmere throw would elicit such a response? There were people bawling in the aisles. *sigh* I wish I was there.

I’d forego everything else if it meant 5 years of Netflix and that sweet Nikon. *sighs again*

I am not sure that I would want to pay the taxes on that largess. I prefer online giveaways!

I mainly enter them for my fashionista Niece. She loves Thiery Muglar Angel. I don’t know whether it is because my friend went on a yacht trip with him in the 90′s, or she loves the scent. In any case, I still enter the giveaway :-) She also loves Alexander McQueen but I doubt I will ever see an online giveaway for anything from him.

Does anyone else like online giveaways? Pioneer Woman does them and I have never won that dam crucet pot!
