Oh that Oprah is such a kidder…she pretends she thinks the Harlem Shake is old, but can’t resist…

The real reason I’m posting this video is so you can take a peep at Oprah’s amazing dance moves! I want to know at what million in her bank account she started dancing like a robot. OMG. Girl is rigid! I mean, I know she can dance or she used to be able to dance at some point in her life…I feel like I’ve seen it before on her old show…either way, she can’t dance now! Was this part of her joke? Because it’s not working for me! Come on, Big O! Shake ‘em if you got ‘em!

Oprah’s big dance debut

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Ugh! That is not the Harlem Shake!! I’m so annoyed by these videos. It’s appropriation in it’s most vulgar form. How can you take a dance which has a name and a root in a music and culture and use it’s name for something completely different?! And now, all these people are thinking this is the Harlem Shake and even worse, 10 years from now when someone goes to google, it will be these bullshit videos that popup instead of the originals. Ugh. Sorry, but this whole viral craze annoys the heck out of me. It’s like rewriting history.

If you wanna get a flash mob together and spaz out like you’re having an epileptic fit, fine. But don’t call that the Harlem Shake. The Shake is close to 30 years old and actually requires people to have rhythm.

My 2 and 1/2 year old step daughter dances better than that. Seriously. She has the attention span of a ferret, the coordination of a blind/deaf baby deer just out of the womb, and zero experience, and she looked like micheal jackson dancing on my coffee table this afternoon, compared to Oprah. She literally has NO black left in her, huh? Nope. Not a trace.

@sarcastire I said the same thing to my husband the other day! I was like, “Why is it called the Harlem Shake? The Harlem Shake is an actual dance.” I know the song in the videos is called Harlem Shake, but I agree, it’s a bit annoying if you actually know that the Harlem Shake is a dance that’s been around forever (I remember people doing it at my high school 15 years ago).

I’ve danced the way the people dance in these videos in my bathroom for years. But I’m alone and feel no need to show it to the world. Worst viral fad ever.

I was at the St Patty’s day party and there was a big ole Harlem Shake dance going on.
I couldn’t participate because I know what the Harlem Shake is all about even though I’m an Iowa girl. And old.
A couple of my BEST FRIENDS are in the know and sent me vidoes.

Rodel was confused as I can get down with the best of them.
He asked my why I wasn’t dancing.
I may have been in the sauce cause I semi screamed “Because they are doing it wrrrrooooonnnnggg!”
