Official word is that the Lance Armstrong/Oprah interview is now going to span over two nights–just so OWN can milk the ratings. And believe me, if I were them, I’d break the thing up into five parts! Ha. This morning Oprah told CBS News that Lance ”Did Not Come Clean In The Matter I Expected.” But she also said it was the biggest interview she’s ever conducted as far as exposure goes.

I’m eager to see what Douchey McDoucherson tells Oprah. No one lies to Oprah, I said no one!

Check out Big O talking about the interview:

This is how she convinced Lance to do the interview:

Her biggest interview:

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I love The BIG O and everything but what the hell does she mean by he didn’t come clean in the matter I expected? What the shit else is there that she could have thought? He is going to come out as gay? He is going to tell us that he really is a cyborg? That Sheryl Crowe and he are actually the same people? Come on, now O.

She wanted him to admit he took drugs, which he can’t unless he wants the feds on his ass (lying under oath) and all the civil suits that will come his way. Why playing dumb Oprah?

Confession is good for the soul, but bad for the reputation. Especially in the Church of Oprah, since she will tell your innermost secrets to the entire world. At least in the Catholic Church, that shit stays on the hush-hush.

Does anybody know how much Big O money was paid to Lance for this interview? Now on to Barbara Walters to become one of the Most Fascinating People.

Is it wrong that I just don’t care what manner Oprah expected?

If I know Oprah, she expected Lance to fall on his knees and start sobbing, confessing to all manner of performance-enhancing shenanigans, and claim that he was beyond redemption, at which point Oprah would begin emanating golden rays of holy forgiveness, and she would pull Lance unto her generous bosom, and absolve him of all wrong doing, and then Lance, who would have now been cured of leprosy and blindness (despite the fact that he suffered neither affliction before appearing on Oprah) would pledge to build 50 new Oprah Schools for Girls(TM) in the Congo. And then Oprah would give everyone in the audience a new Honda Prius.

I’m with NotWithoutMyTV – I think that’s EXACTLY what she expected. As far as I’m concernted, I couldn’t possibly care less what Oprah OR Lance have to say. I’d much rather be watching Vanderpump Rules, myself.

@labowner-i believe that the statute of limitations has run out on the perjury charge (i think it ran out in 2012)-it’s believed that’s one of the reasons why he waited until now to completely confess. i heard that he did actually confess to doping on the show, so i’m not sure what oprah meant, but i admit i’m interested enough to see the interview. there’s a reason he picked oprah and not 60 minutes, and that reason is he’s a coward and chose the softball interview. he is such a douche, in so many ways.

Mich from my understanding he came on with lawyers to carefully craft what he said so there is still legal trouble he could land in.

Lance just wanted to be the best he could be. Is that a crime? I don’t care too much about being a great athlete, but if there was some illegal pill that I could take that would make me the smartest son of a bitch in the world, I’d take it in a second. And nobody could say that was wrong, because I would disagree, and my opinion would be coming from somebody who was smarter than everybody else.

@labowner-i read that too. i know that i read that at least one of the statues has expired, but i honestly don’t remember enough to know how many trials he actually had and when they were. this is from one of the yahoo articles:

He no longer can face perjury charges. In 2005, Armstrong testified under oath that he never used performance-enhancing drugs. The statute of limitations on that testimony ran out after seven years, meaning Armstrong cannot be tried for perjury.

    (article link: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/why-is-lance-armstrong-admitting-he-used-peds-now–184108964.html)

i think right now it’s more about money he’ll have to repay than legal charges, although it’s more probably a mixture of both (i know there was one insurance payout of 5million that the insurance company tried not to pay-it ended up going to court, and not only did they have to pay the 5 mill but also a 2.5 penalty).

the thing about cycling is that everyone is doping all the time, so…is it still technically cheating if everyone is doing it and it’s kind of a level playing field? (answer: yes).

Every Lance hater should watch Breaking Away Then, ask yourself if Lance ever stuck anything in the spokes of somebody’s bicycle wheels like those Italians did to that movie’s hero. And, I bet those fuckers were doping besides.

I do think there are people out there who actually have a conscience, and determination that keep them from taking the easy road to reach their accomplishments. Some clearly feel proud and deserving of an award/win, reguardless of the fact that they cheated. Some would never be able to enjoy it as a true reward that they earned. The latter are tough to find, but they exist. I hope. And I hope Lance is in some way apologetic to the other racers, just in case a non-enhanced competitor actually DID exist in the bunch, cause that poor fucker might have won a race if he wasn’t defeated by a cheater. Poor hypathetical guy…..he just missed the memo on enhancers being the unspoken “norm”……he’ll die never knowing what mighta been. Ok, that was dramatic. Hey, i’m not judging. I graduated paramedic school with the assistence of adderal, and lots of it. I was able to beat out the other suckers who worked full-time, were in school full-time, and just weren’t able to pull it off. Do what ya gotta do. Just don’t get caught. And if you get caught, deny. And if you are left no choice, confess. And do it 100%…..i’m talking tears, pleas for forgiveness, all that shit. Commit or keep denying, please.

i don’t think lance is a dick because he cheated, it’s all the intimidation and retaliation he’s been a part of while proclaiming his angel like innocence along the way. some people got really hurt and were financially ruined because of him.

sidenote: i don’t mind the capcha codes we have to enter, but i despise having to sit through a freaking cascade commercial to get to it.

I think Oprah wanted Lance to take a piss test on National television?

Oprah probably doesn’t even give a shit about the truth, she wanted the ratings for her awful network……which I cant believe hasn’t gone under yet.

Interesting to read about Lance and if any one watches Mob Wives would have seen Drita confessing to her kids her and their dad took the easy way out and it ended up being the harder way of life. Lance is now coming to realize this.

Cranky wasn’t there a movie about taking a pill that would make you smarter?

@Labowner, there is an old movie called Charley, I believe. The effect was temporary, though, and maybe when it wore off you were dumber than to begin with.

@crankyguy – I saw the movie AND read the book. The movie starred Cliff Robertson, I think, as Charly. I’ve really aged myself with this confession.

@lindaw205 — this is a Lance Armstrong thread, so I don’t think you ought to be confessing to anything.

I became an old movie enthusiast a couple of years back, after seeing Double Indemnity. These days, I’d rather watch something old on Turner Classic Movies than see something recent at the theater.

@crankyfan-if you liked double indemnity (which is awesome), you’ll probably like the asphalt jungle-sterling hayden as a conman in a caper film. i like all those words together like that (and totally agree re: the french and armstrong).

@Juddfan — Thanks for the recommendation. I see that The Asphalt Jungle was directed by the great John Huston, so that alone is good enough for me.

@labowner — I looked up Limitless. It came out 2011, so I never heard of it since I really don’t pay attention to new movies coming out. I had the sound off the other night when a picture of all the Best Actress nominees were shown at once. I could not recognize one of them.

You think, with only one testicle, he’d already have an advantage with less wind resistance, etc., and performance-enhancing drugs would be redundant. But if he’s this douchy with just one GrapeNut, imagine how douchy he was when we was a double-baller.

I also want to mention this. A fantastic lady and myself started a support group for cancer patients, caregivers, family and friends 7 yrs ago.

I am not saying this to toot a horn, just saying this so you know that I am not pulling this out of my butt or gossiping.

The Lance Live Strong campaign was exactly that. The Lance Armstrong capaign. The money that went to Cancer Research was less than the budget that they had for promotion ( yeah, it includes those bracelets he gave out to promote his “cause”, cause he wanted to promote himself). Cancer Research paled in comparison to his budget to promote himself.

I can’t stop thinking about the folks that are being helped right now ( I am sure someone is being helped) and am worried that the funds will dry up for them because of this mess and they will have to discontinue treatment because of this asshole.

As always, NWMTV is right on. I hate Oprah and her self-righteous bullcrap.

I’m also thrilled that Lance has had to come out about his doping simply because the town he’s from is right next to mine. It’s a very Oprah-esque town, full of the hoity-toity, we think we’re all rich but really are just living off of credit aholes who look down on my blue collar city (as made famous by the intro to Zombieland and King of the Hill) because we don’t all live in McMansions and we actually allows “blacks” and “Mexicans” into our ranks. All these local dipshits immediately took to their bikes and flooded the main roads during rush hour as soon as Lance hit it big, because they have no minds of their own.

haHA! In the face, Planonians! In the face!

…sorry…I’m still angry over the Project Runway results. I need some cheesecake.
