Oprah’s Final Week

Earlier this week they announced that Oprah will have James Frey on during her final week (over 2-episodes). He was the dude that wrote Million Little Pieces, and when Oprah found out part of his book were exaggerated, havoc ensued. And today they announced that The Smiths will grace Oprah’s stage for her last show. Now, why on earth would she choose Will and Jada to appear on her final show? Unless, they’re planning on doing a huge blow-out party with other celebs like a clearance sale, I don’t see the point.

Oprah, blow it out of the water, have a party, bring Gayle, and come on out!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

    Is it because I’m a geezer that when I saw “The Smiths” my mind went immediately to Morrissey’s band and not Will and Jada, and it took me a moment to put it all together?

    Now, a Morrissey vs Oprah death match would make for much better television then the Will and Jada Smith/Oprah mutual ass kiss hour will be.

    The Smiths breaking up ruined a complete summer for me. I’ve always been a huge fan and they were going to be doing a summer tour. One of my best friend’s brother was in a band that was going to be opening for them on part of the tour. I was in hog heaven because chances were pretty good that I would at least see Morrissey up close and maybe even MEET him! *swoon* And then they broke up. Bastards. ;)

    HAHA! I totally thought it was the band, too, and I was like wonder if she’ll ask Morrissey about that celibacy thing that made us all more crazy for him? Man, I’m old! And bummed out, I totally would have DVR’d that.

    I don’t even think of myself as old (I’m 29) and I immediately thought of the band too. To me that would have made Oprah relevant again for the first time in about, oh I don’t know…25 years or so.

    @Valleygirl – I thought the same thing. I was reaching for my gun until I saw “Will and Jada” in the next line. I mean, when The Smiths not only get back together, but do it on fucking Oprah is the day I do myself in.

    This fat bitch’s last episode should have been 20 years ago. I like to point out and give myself an award for being the very first person to hate Oprah. I’ve hated her since she first started. Kudos to me!
