Owenwilson

I’ve been getting a few emails requesting an Owen Wilson update…and for those of you who don’t know what happened…Owen Wilson tried to take his own life by slitting his wrists this past Sunday when he was found by his brother in his Santa Monica home. There have been so many allegations regarding his depression, such as: his heroin and coke addiction, hanging with the wrong crowd, his break-up with Kate Hudson and seeing her with a new guy…everyone has a theory, and everyone has been sharing it in the tabloids. Ah, friends. They can really make life worth taking living sometimes, eh?

Who really knows what the cause of his depression is? He obviously had hit rock bottom. The good news is that he is in stable condition at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles and has just dropped out of his next movie, Tropic Thunder, directed by Ben Stiller starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black . He didn’t have a big part in the film, but he was scheduled to shoot next week…and unless his sutures heal in his head and wrists…personally I’m glad that he’s not doing the movie. We’ve already sat through Dodgeball and every other paint by numbers comedy Ben Stiller’s put together. One more and I might be sitting in a hospital soon.

But, let’s look back on some irony:

-In 2001, Owen co-wrote a scene in film “The Royal Tenenbaums” where his brother Luke Wilson attempts suicide.

-In his current film, “The Darjeeling Limited” that’s set to screen at the Venice Film Festival, before opening at the New York Film Festival Sept. 28th; he plays a character that attempts suicide.

-In 2003, he teamed up with Jackie Chan for a really dumb movie called Shanghai Noon.

Wait.

That doesn’t fit here, but wouldn’t it be cute if he imitated that plot and started hanging around Jackie Chan? Who’d wanna kill themselves with that little bundle of positive energy at their side? Name a better Wii opponent and I’ll give you a dollar.

Jackie Chan 654446

Time to bring in the big guns.

Who knew that Owen Wilson had the sad clown syndrome? Sad. I know that we’re all waiting for his comeback and we wish him a speedy recovery. For God sakes Owen…PULL IT TOGETHER. I kind of think your crooked nose is cute, so stop snorting things up it and make me laugh!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Was it confirmed that he slit his wrists? If that’s true, it would be mighty ironic, because the first thing everyone heard was that he “slit his wrists and took a bunch of pills”, just like his brother’s character in the Royal Tenenbaums, when he was depressed from seeing the woman he loves with another man. That’s kind of why I took a grain of salt with that rumor.

I wish him all the best, he’s a funny guy.

I just watched “The Wedding Crashers” last night and there was a scene where he’s in his apaartment all depressed reading a book called “Why Not Jump” or some-such title.

Just because your famous doesn’t solve your problems….. we see proof of that every day.

Exactly. Everyone that I’ve talked to about this (water cooler gossip, you know) has been saying things like “What’s HE got to be depressed for? He’s rich, famous and he can have any girl he wants!”

Money doesn’t buy happiness. Here’s hoping that Owen can seek therapy and heal.

And thanks for the information… this is just rather sad to me and I did like Owen, the early years, but you, me, and dupree was rather predictable…

I will always remember him in Zoolander.. how he stepped in to help when is counterpoint needed him…. let’s hope someone steps in to help him now….. really did he want his legacy to be..

    Actor, kills himself in home…
