I know today has been a day full of Osama, but I’m ready to shift gears, aren’t you? Here’s something to sink your teeth into–Patti Stanger is going to try to act! Ha! She’ll appear on Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva this August, and she’ll be playing a (drum roll) dating guru. Wow, that’s so far fetched. I love it when reality stars make guest appearances on scripted shows–they always play a version of themselves, and always have a hard time doing it too! But honestly, I don’t think she of all people will have a hard time acting since she does it on her show every episode. Can’t wait to see this trainwreck!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Glad I don’t watch that show. Otherwise I would have to skip that episode. What is up with Patti’s hair in that picture? It looks like it’s made up of two different wigs. Yikes! (Hey, my Captcha Code is my initials!)

I really, really, really hate that picture. It gives me chills and makes me vomit a little in my mouth.

I heard that DDD is a good show but I have never checked it out. I am a fan of Margaret Cho and probably should watch it. However, I prefer the dark humor of Nurse Jackie, Syfy’s Sanctuary, and Nikita. It seems to be a show I would be interested in but it is on the Lifetime channel.

I have a stereotype against Lifetime because all I ever see are movies that make me cry like a girl. Since I HATE crying at movies (or TV), I despise that channel. My girlfriend loves it and I roll my eyes and pretend to sleep when she watches it. You want to cry, have at it. I don’t like showing my humanity when a cancer-ridden woman dies in front of her family when she finally gets her red shoes (true movie. Bawled with all the other seniors for two hours that our choir teacher did an intervention).

This news confirms my suspicion. It must be a sad day on DDD when they need Patti Stanger on there. Who is hoping for a TV death?
