Pink: Why She Turned Down The X Factor, American Idol, And The Voice

Pink revealed that she was offered to sit on the judges panel on The Voice in Australia, American Idol and The X Factor and turned them all down. She said, “I said no because you can’t be honest. People will hate you if you’re honest. Simon Cowell is the only person who gets away with it because he’s got an accent. And he’s a man. People would just hate me more than they already do. I don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings.”

I really respect her answer because it’s honest. Plus, I think for Pink to take a role on the judges table would be selling out for her. She still has time left as a performer and doesn’t need kickstart like some of the artists that sit on the judges’ panel. True, not every judge needs a kickstart, but it’s basically why they do it–to help promote their own music careers. 

In a way, I wish the judges panel would have a badass like Pink. They need an honest female that won’t blow fluff up the contestants’ asses.

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

    I LOVE Pink. Her music, beliefs, & honesty. She doesn’t need to sell herself out at all. Talent alone will carry her through her future. Rock on girl :-)

    I love Pink. As much as I’d love to see her on a judge’s panel because she is so honest, I’m glad she passed. She’s a great performer.

    Pink is awesome. m!ssundaztood got me through a lot of crap in high school, heh. she’s a pop star that actually seems to have really good taste so it is too bad that she turned all of them down but I don’t watch any of those shows anyway!

    I adore Pink. I think she’s wrong. People would find her frankness refreshing.
