I live on the west coast, but for all of my friends on the east coast, I wanted to pass on this video of Big Bird and friends prepping for the Hurricane. I know we have earthquakes out here, and those suck big time, but Hurricanes just seem flat out scary!!!! Sending everyone good thoughts! Anyway, I found myself A.D.D.ing on this video, thought I’d pass it on…just in case you want to know how to prep for the Hurricane Sesame Street style.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Aww I love Sesame Street thanks Nads! I’m in a coastal town in Connecticut but thankfully our house isn’t on the water and we haven’t had to evacuate like everyone by the beach. And I have to say, since school and work is cancelled for the next 2 days I’m actually looking forward to having time to catch up on my TV and reading and just having some much needed relaxation haha. I can’t remember the last time I had time to sit around in my sweatpants with nothing pressing to do except check in on my real housewives lol

That was cute. A welcome break from the hours and hours of hyped up meteorologists yelling at us. All is still well here at my house on Cape Cod. I seem to be one of the lucky few to still have power in my area, but with predictions of 90 mph gusts it likely won’t last much longer. That video inspired me, I think my dog and I will do the Lindy Hop rather than the Cha Cha as our hurricane dance.

And yes Classy mood altering substances are an important of all hurricane preparations. They seem to have forgotten that on Sesame St.

A girl I went to high school and now goes to grad. school in New York. Posted a facebook status yesterday asking how New York was out bread but not wine. And was like get your priorities straight people.
I would have thought that if New Yorkers stocked up on anything it would be wine.

@awfuleyebrow My roommate’s from Cape Cod, well Chatham to be more specific.
