Michael Kors has left his post as judge on Project Runway for the show’s 11th’s season and will be replaced by “featured judge” Zac Posen. But don’t worry PR fans, Michael Kors will return as a guest judge on the finale. And just so you know, Michael isn’t out for good, just for this upcoming season due to scheduling issues (his 2011 IPO was the biggest in U.S. Fashion history–so, he’s busy).

Besides Michael not being on the show, another shakeup for this season: The designers will be competing in teams. Yes, teams. That should provide some good drama, don’t you think? It’s not great for the designers’ brands as individuals, but it’ll be good TV. This team shakeup must mean they need viewers because why would they mess with something that’s not broken?

Guest judges for this upcoming season are: Bette Midler, Susan Sarandon, Miranda Lambert, John Legend, Joan and Melissa Rivers, Emmy Rossum, Kristin Davis, Jordana Brewster and designers Rachel Roy, Tracy Reese, Chris Benz and Christian Siriano.

The new season starts on January 24th at 9PM on Lifetime

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I’m going to miss him, honestly.
He was rude as fuck and consistently made me laugh.

But Zac Posen is adorable and I love his work.
The only question is if he’s going to be cutthroat and bitchy enough to fill Michael’s orange, spray-tan-splattered shoes.

I hate the idea of people being in teams though.

Teams will allow the judges to more justify keeping their favorites (or whomever they need for drama.)

I will miss the Great Pumpkin. He’s the only one who gives actual critical suggestions.

He was always great with the flesh-eating zombie, Nina Garcia. BOOO.

I’m definitely going to miss Kors. The team format sounds just like that design show that Bravo put out after PR moved to Lifetime. Mizrahi was a judge and I think Iman was on it. I don’t recall liking the show, but it seems they’re still picking things up from Bravo, even from the failed design shows.

^ Omfg, I am crying real tears at my desk right now.
And his outfits are all exactly the same, like it looks like all the comments came from a single episode.

I am going to miss him so fucking much!!

I hate it… all of it! No Kors and teams… ugh! Only one good thing can come from this. Even better “piss-your-pants” hilarious v-caps from Flipit!

If I were a struggling starting-out designer I would boycott PR over the team thing. I have never seen a contestant look anything but depressed when team challenges are announced and a few of them over the years have come up with good reasons why they are inherently unfair. This is just a way to get everyone saying “I was thrown under the bus” as often as possible. The fakeness will be too hard for me to take.

Nothing against Zac Posen, but would he ever tell a contestant that their dress looks like Minnie Mouse fucked a piñata? No. I didn’t think so.

    Come back Michael Kors!!!!!!

NOOOOOOOOO!!!! Well, as long as he’ll be back then I guess it’s ok. That will give google more time to find more orange images for me to use. LOL
    And thanks Chooch!!

Aw, that’s my favorite part of the recaps. Flipit’s images to rep Kors. Oh well, as long as NINA GARCIA is still there, we’ll always have ogre and witch pictures.

I’ve had a falling out with PR. They’ve truly disappointed the last few seasons and I really hate the Allstars show. I don’t even tune in to the final minutes anymore cuz I just don’t care. And without Kors to make fun of? Bleh.

    Big mistake. Big. Huge.

Okay, that was effing annoying. I’m seriously supposed to watch a 30 second commercial just to get the code so that I can post? Ummmm…well, I guess I did it once. I love this site, but that is absolute crap — you’ll lose all of the hilarious posters’ comments! Please make the bad man stop!

People complaining about ads better hit up that Ad-Block.
    I don’t see anything ever.

    Or no, that’s not true.
    I see some things.
But the most annoying ones don’t show up.

I’ll give Posen a shot since it’s only temporary. I don’t mind Eyesack on All-Stars so much. So, it might not be bad to have another guy on the judges panel.

BTW, try switching browsers if you’ve got those annoying side ads. I’m on Firefox and I only have one above the login box and Dish Network one below.

Ah, never mind me — I was just in a bitchy mood. But to clarify: The thing I was pissed about wasn’t a regular ad on the page — I really don’t see many (any?), possibly because I use a Mac with all kinda adblockers on it. I was bitching about an ad I had to watch in order to get the captcha code. That is annoying.

OMFG it just happened again! This one was only 10 seconds or so, but there it is. Eff you Delicious Knorr Homestyle Stock
