About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Yay for Modern family and The Middle! The only wholesome television I watch all week. The rest of the time I am entertained by Guidos tearing out each other’s weaves, bad girls drinking themselves into oblivion, and housewives wagging fingers in each other faces at charity events. Wednesday primetime programming is like doing 100 Hail Mary’s. A welcome palette cleanser after a drunken binge and serious barf breath.

I’ll give you one guess why I’m happy Castle got renewed.

What’s the story with The Middle? Is it just me or is it a blatant rip off of Malcolm in the Middle?

@Memememe: Why would it be a ripoff of Malcolm? In Malcolm, he is the main character and the show revolves around him and his brothers and their dysfunctional relationship, with the Dad joining in like a kid himself or the Mom going haywire when things get out of hand. The Middle seems to be from the perspective of the Mom, and they rarely go off on the kids because the kids aren’t as mischievous as Malcolm and his bros.
The Middle is also different to me because the dad is low-key and not a liability, so the parents don’t really go at it like on other family shows (Everybody loves Raymond, anyone?). Plus, the kids do not fight with each other like on Malcolm. What I like about the Middle is they have the cool teenager, embarrassed by his folks and weird siblings, and his comments are heavily laced with sarcasm, the socially awkward sister, Sue, who tries so hard to fit in yet is oblivious (and blissfully ignorant) of her shortcomings, and the little brother who must have some form of high-functioning autism. He is socially awkward but just doesn’t give a shit. I love that about him. I dunno..I love both the Middle and Malcolm for different reasons..although the one they do have is common, is they make me laugh.
