Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I’ll miss you, my Overweight Lover.
That is so sad.
44 is way too young to be dead.
I’m gonna need people to take better care of themselves.
Loved this song! It could really get the party started! Rest in Peace, Dwight Arrington Meyers.
He recently lost a lot of weight and was taking care of himself. He had a freak accident..fell down a flight of stairs in his house.
” Is it good to you”….one of my favorite songs EVER
It is so weird how the 3 always happens….
We had the greatest dance routine to this song in 7th grade. I really loved some Heavy D
TMZ is saying he had pneumonia and started having trouble breathing going up the steps. I’m guessing he had a heart attack.
I’m just grateful to him for sharing his talent with everybody.
This comment was on some random site: “It’s so sad when legends die. It makes me feel weird inside.”
I normally feel bad about celebrity deaths but I move on but this one hurts. Heavy D defined my teenage years in the late 80s early 90s when I was best friends with someone who was the best and since I’m a jackass I ruinedbour friendship. Now we just like each other status on Facebook but I remember us in torn USED brand jeans and painters caps hanging at mall and putting our money together to buy his CD and sitting up all night making a cassette tape so we could both have a copy. Thanks for the memories Heavy D
Faye..no you did NOT bring up torn USED jeans!! Lawd, now you got me reminiscing about wearing USED shorts with my friends for our Block Party dance routine. (Because, you know back then how much tween/teen girls loved forming groups and dancing at Brooklyn block parties.)
Now I’m gonna be up all night thinking about Batman medallions, Cross Color outfits worn with Travel Fox, and dancing to Heavy D’s reggae song with Supercat, “Dem don’t worry weeeeeeeee..”, and it’s all your fault. (Thanks for triggering the memories!!
)
My favorite was “Blue Funk”. I always was a huge (no pun intended) Heavy D fan.
Oh man….this is so sad!!
Nads, that song also brings me back to 7th grade when we had to do an aerobic exercise. Good times (though not really).
The song was good, at least. And he’ll be truly missed. RIP Heavy D!
Oh man, backing up everyone into a circle so we could have a dance off to Heavy D, we’d battle like out lives depended on it. Threading the needle (forwards and back) and doing our routines ( I feel ya @ Classy )
44, wow! I’m gonna get corny and quote Billy Joel “Only the good die young.”
Heavy D was quite the dancer himself especially for a man of his size. He was always dancing with “the boyz” in his videos. One of my favorite episodes of A Different World is at the end Heavy and Ron do the Heavy D dance (not sure what the name was).
@sarcasatire – Please don’t make me take my high top reeboks with the velcro closure out the closet and do the Gangsta Bump cause I still know all the steps!!
@Gypsy – Need to call my friend and convince her to come and do the Kid N Play side by side with me…
WHERE ARE MY BAMBOO EARRINGS (at least two pair!!!)
Faye and Sarcas…LOL! Lawd, you know how to age a girl!
Heavy D – love ya. Somewhere in heaven, folks are lining up ready to Kid N Play as you enter the gates!
OK Faye, Sarcas, LAC and Classy…youse are too much! Cross colors, batman medallions? Kind N Play dance??? High top fades? I actually remember that episode! heavy D what quite the dancer!
At least I am not alone, how did we not all go to the same school???
I actually wore a huge pair of bamboo earrings this past Halloween (don’t ask) This trip down memory lane is way too good, I am about to overload on awesome hip hop memories.
What about Triple Phat Goose jackets and Starter hats WITH the tags STILL ON!?!?!
Faye- call your girl and I’ll see if I can Facebook my old crew and we can dance battle for bragging rights in the circle. YES!
Gypsy it is on up in this mickeyflicker!! You know your dance crew means business when everyone has a nickname either based on there best dance skill or their deformity … I’m about to hit up Short Leg Shelia and Running Man Dre on their beepers and tell them to dust of the Karl Kani shirts we have a battle to attend. Where are my scrunchy socks and penny loafers!?
MICKEY FLICKER???? HOWLING right now.
Mine was Double Time, cause I danced twice as fast as the beat, LOL!
I’ll get my tripled up wigwams and scrunchies to match on and we’ll do this thing!
Mine was POISON cause I had a big butt and a smile!!! LMAO
ROFL @ mickeyflicker!
You know you can still get Triple Phat Goose jackets so I guess they’ve turned into a timeless wardrobe basic now.
Heavy D is up in Heaven Ling his AO at this thread!
OMG — I’ve been transported back to the 80s/90s. Whitley, where are my Dwayne Wayne flip up glasses? I know in Heaven everyone is lined up chanting: “The overweight lover’s in the houzzzzzeeeee! Love ya, Hev.
I love y’all. That is all. *still giggling*
Mine was Lefty. I am lefty handed so I would always have to remember to turn right instead of left. I messed up quite a few routines turning the wrong way.
The Overweight Lover has left the house.
@ Classy how Zoolander of you! You were ahead of your time!
This thread MMD! I’m gonna rock some Ohhhhhh on the TLC tip on my ipod later this afternoon with my hat to da back! *SMILES EAR TO EAR*
LOL! Gypsy and faye, you have me howling!! You ain’t right!!!
Peace in the Middle East, I’m outtie 5000.
Wait! I just got the telephone man to cut me some rope, who’s down for some double dutch?
“D-I-S-H, choice, sleeping beauty…”
My fav is ” Is it good to you?”
Love the lines: “Many are called, but the chosen are few. And all I want to know, is it good to you?” And that beat…we be hittin’ that dance floor back in the day! He was a gymnast with those lyrics.
Does anyone else remember that Cynthia Bailey of RHOA was is quite a few of his videos back in the day? It was back when the girls in videos could still be considered hot while fully clothed. Man, I miss those days.
let’s not forget the Heavster’s appearance on two major jams of the 90′s… Michael Jackson’s “Jam” and (my personal favorite)… Janet Jackson’s “Alright”…
love, J-Mo
