Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

R.I.P Jeff. You were one of my favorites in the Grease movie. Seeing him on Celebrity Rehab helped me confirm that I did the right thing by staying sober. May your family, loved ones, and friends find some sort of peace in the days to come. You will be missed.
@Angela, The last sentance in your post was written beautifully. In my opinion Drew should have said something like that instead of furthering his own agenda. He truly disgusts me.
TC, Robin
Yep, he died of complications of a sencondary infection called pneumonia.
Why even the mention of prescription drugs, isn’t it pretty irresponsible of Drew Pinsky to allude to that seeing as he is a doctor.
He is a real doctor isn’t he?
So sad, I caught pneumonia last year and had to be in a medically induced coma until my lungs could be cleared of the infection.
Glad my family wasn’t informed about those silly over-utilized prescription drugs.
RIP Mr. Conaway.
Sorry Jeanne and Robin, I disagree. Jeff may not have died directly from an overdose, but the guy’s body was so completely decimated because of his drug addiction. Had he not been abusing drugs, his body may have been able to fight off the pneumonia and secondary infections.
That’s like saying that malnutrition isn’t a big deal in africa because the children don’t starve to death, they die from pneumonia and other secondary infections. Yeah… because their bodies are so weak that they can no longer fight them off.
I think it is very sad that about Jeff. Not only because he is dead but also because he wasted his talent and his life on drugs.
What put him in the final coma was mixing medications for a severe cold withthe pain pills to which he was addicted. His body was too fragile to handle that much medication, and he collapsed.
It is just so sad to see what had been such a vibrant man brought to that state…and then death. Drug addiction is so insidious and sinister when it takes hold of someone…and sometimes, like with jeff, they can’t be rescued. It’s just sad. And I agree that Dr. Drew is repulsive for using the death (of one of HIS failed patients) to further his own fame.
I hope Jeff has found some peace.
I don’t find fault with Dr. Drew in this case. The media has stated that Jeff overdosed on drugs, which is painful for a family to hear. Dr. Drew clarified that while there was a history of pill abuse, the cause of death was pneumonia. He further explained how pills weaken the body, making certain illnesses impossible to overcome. If you’ll remember, Brittany Murphy died of pneumonia and scores of pill bottles were found in her home. I thought it was slanderous for the media to focus on her pill usage, and not the pneumonia, until a year later, when her husband died of the exact same thing.
I bet Dr.Drew is hoping he can spin this one into a one-hour special!
Yes, he was a drug addled addict that had more opportunities than most to get help. He squandered his great talent and he ended up dying from his addiction. Hell, for all we know, he might have thought he had a pretty good ride when he looked back. Who the fuck know’s.
As far as Drew is concerned, he knows that we all know what killed Jeff Conaway. And that part..”please pray for friends and family, they need your support”? WTF was that about? That was a pretty generic statement if he was actually talking to Jeff Conaway’s friends and family…But we know he wasn’t giving a sound bite that actually addressed them, he was pushing his own agenda, per norm.
Anyway, I just think if he thinks that he is so important to this story, he should have shown respect to the family, friends and fans by not shoving what everybody already knows in their face less that 24 hrs after the man has died. The fame whore could have waited a bit to spout off..
@Robinez-Thank you. Whenever anyone loses someone, it is the worse feeling in the world. Although the family might never see it, it is the thought that counts.
Dr. Drew is awful. I agree with you Robinez that he is a fame whore. I mean, he commented on Lindsey Lohan and he had no reason to. I don’t care if he is a real “doctor”, he still had no reason. I doubt Lindsey really gave a crap about Drew’s opinion and if I were her, I would have laughed at him.
I am sorry but I will never like him. Ever since he got famous with the sex show (I want to say “Loveline” but I am not sure), I always thought he was a sexist, idiot, skeezeball. He sets people up to fall like on Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant reunions and then becomes the most condescending butthole in the world. Every time I hear him try to dole out advice (which is almost always worthless and the times he does give worthy advice, it is usually common sense that the girls heard from their parents already), I want to punch my TV. I cannot stand him. He is the poorest excuse for a therapist/psychologist/addiction counselor I have ever seen in my life.
Anyway, sorry about my rant. I hope Jeff’s family tells Drew to shove it. He may be right but his timing, his words, and his “I am better and listen to me because I am like God” attitude suck.
“A hickie from Kenickie is like a Hallmark car. He cares enough to send the very best.”
RIP Jeff
Lord have mercy, people!!! Lay off Dr. Drew a little, sheesh! Whether he made a statement or chose not to, and whatever he could’ve said in that statement, most of you wouldv’e been unhappy no matter what. This man cannot win with you guys. No one said anything about an O.D.! Dislike him all you want, but don’t put words in his mouth. I agree that he is frusterating to watch on the Teen Mom/16 & Preg reunions, cause he tip-toes around our burning questions, while we sit in front of our tvs shouting and dying to jump thru the screen and shake some sense into those teenage morons. He is the one sitting next to them on the couch, and it’s maddening to see him stay so calm, as opposed to ringing Jenelle’s neck, for ex, and we, as viewers, deal with this frusteration by hating Dr. Drew. I’m not saying the guy is a prophet, or that I agree with his “expertise” 100% of the time, but I have been an addict. It takes an extrordinarily patient, objective, educated person to treat addicts/the disease of addiction. He has/does help MANY people. He isn’t using Conway’s death for any sort of self-promotion whatsoever. And btw- THE GUY GETS PAID TO TREAT/COUNCIL OTHERS ON AND OFF THE AIR! IT’S HIS J-O-B!!! If you think he’s such a moron, then don’t go to him with ur addiction, don’t let ur slutty little 15yr old get knocked up, and when he’s on the air TUNE. OUT!!! It’s called a remote.
@Tmurda-I completely agree w/ you a/b Dr. Drew. A drug overdose is the result of consuming a larger amount of medicine than prescribed or ingesting more of a substance than the body can break down….this is QUITE DIFFERENT from the “overutilization of prescription drugs” which is what Dr. Drew blames Jeff Conaway’s death on. Long term drug consumption, prescribed or OTC, takes a toll on a body, and taking various medications/combinations/dosages throughout a lifetime WILL have an effect on your body’s ability to function. People often have prescriptions from multiple doctors, and not everyone’s honest a/b what they are already prescribed….and when it comes to addiction, well, trust me, the chance of getting an extra prescription or two will override telling the whole truth every time. But “overutilizing” medicine is not just an “addiction thing.” The easy access to drugs combined with our culture’s belief that medicine is needed to get better creates a dangerous path that ANYONE can go down…without even realizing the potential danger/long term consequences. And as for Dr. Drew speaking publicly about addiction, psychological disorders, childhood trauma, etc…you don’t have to agree with what he says, and/or how/when he says it, the end result is still the same..and thats to raise awareness of addiction…and based on all these comments, I think it’s safe to say Dr. Drew’s “fame whoring, shameless self-promotion” working…
Well excuse the fuck out of me!
I didn’t put words in his mouth, I commented on the words that came out of his mouth. The ones that started with self promotion. Drew is a blip in Jeff Conoways life. Yet he was right there in front of a camera self promoting. He is cashing in on it too, betcha. He will go on all those show’s and get paid to climb on the back of a dead person for an audience.
He may help people when they are alive. But the minute they die his Hypocratic oath is out the window and all bets are off.
Don’t worry, I won’t go to him with my addiction.coughfunyonscough.. And if I tell you what it is, you will probably go to the internetssss..just like your bud Drew…
Am I being punked?
Robin
