Rebecca Black is back with her second single, My Moment. I have to admit that it’s not as bad as Friday, but it’s not good by any stretch of the imagination. Now she sounds like every other recording artist in her genre. I don’t know what’s worse…the auto-tune or how many times she looks at the camera like it’s a mirror. I feel bad saying this because she’s a kid, but I can’t help but jump on the bandwagon. But kudos to her for putting it out there! Poor girl just keeps on getting heat, and she continues to plug away and cash in. She’s kind of this generation’s Tiffany, wouldn’t you think?

Here’s her new single:

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

My two year old started dancing…really rocking out…while I was playing this. I’m not sure what to make of that.

Maybe I fell out of bed this morning and had a concussion that I don’t even recall, but I actually don’t mind this. She’s just a typical 14 year old who wants to be a Pop Star, kind of a real life Rachel Berry….and as you mentioned, she is no worse than most in this pop/dance genre. If forced to choose, I’d pick this over Kesha, or those monotonous Taylor Swift songs (all of which sound the same to me!)

Why? Why bother? She will never be famous other than in the, “Oh, look what that girl who sang that horrible song is doing now” sense.

Dunno, careers have been built on less… A LOT less, actually.

Agreed – for example, any RH show and the Jersey Shore douches immediately come to mind.

Is that Robert from SYTYCD Season7 at 2:08, or am I imagining things?

The sad thing is, this doesn’t sound any better or worse than the music than most of the disney kid hacks put out, so she could wind up being fairly successful with it. I mourn for the world of good music, but more power to her if she can cash in for a few months…or, god forbid, a few years. If it’s not her it will be someone else. And this actually annoys me less than most of Justin Bieber’s music, so go figure. Maybe it’s because I think she might be at least partly in on the joke.

@Lizbet I saw Robert too! I totally think it is him. And I think Kent Boyd is also there.
