Suvivor‘s Richard Hatch is a free man, again. They released him from jail yesterday, and he’s as angry as ever! Richard said“Always leaving feels good, since now I can say I’ve done that a couple of times. It’s a tragedy. I never evaded taxes. I still maintain that’s the truth, and I certainly didn’t violate probation, which is what I was sent back here for.”

I love his optimism!

Now that he’s free he wants to try to sell a TV show, like everyone else and their mother. If anything, he can continue the Survivor wave, or just go back to jail at some point.

I’ve posted his post-jail interview, it’s hilarious..he compares himself to witches that got persecuted back in the day. Oh, and the best part is when he talks about Boston Rob taking his place to win the million that should have been his.

Here’s the interview:

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Hmmmm…I didn’t get that at all from the interview. He comes across as quite sane, if not intelligent. Just me?

@Nads, I thought it had been widely reported that the judges wouldn’t allow him to go film Survivor. Plus, I think he’s created a character based on his Survivor persona and that’s what he’s giving the audience, since he’s back in the spotlight after his appearance on Celebrity Apprentice.

He’s definitely a narcissistic egomaniac, but I love (to watch) him anyway.

I used to be a big fan. His behavior while on Celebrity Apprentice cured me of it.

@TiredMom – I never called him crazy…he’s just bitter. He mos def has a point of view…but to compare himself to persecuted witches was hilarious to me. I get it, he believes he’s innocent, and he very well could be for all we know…

and yes @ Derek – you’re right, he wasn’t able to go film Survivor b/c of his jail sentence, but he’s such an ego maniac that he believes that money would have been him…which is what makes him great to watch.

The dude is super smart, but his narcism is out of control.

@Nads – not sure crazy was the word you used – but you made some sort of comment in that area – but I see you now edited your original story comments above….hmmmmmm, why?

@TiredMom – sorry! It wasn’t an edit b/c of comments, I had revised the article due to a grammar error without looking at comments when that was done. I am the first to admit to being wrong on these things! God knows I always have a million spelling and grammar errors.

I don’t think I called him crazy though…those aren’t my thoughts on him–my true thoughts on Richard: I think he’s narcissist, entitled, and can get dramatic at times…but that makes for good television.
