After all the drama the that went down this past Golden Globes, Ricky Gervais has been asked to host the Globes again, for the third time! The Globes must love it for the press. Ricky said, “The ratings went up again, and the organisers asked me to consider a third year. (But) I don’t think I should. I don’t know what I could do better. I certainly couldn’t get more press for them, that’s for sure….’I did exactly what I went to do: improve on last year’s and have a laugh. The response was staggering. It was discussed on every news channel and chat show for weeks.”

Ricky is absolutely right, what more can he do? He made a huge splash, and I feel like if he comes back for more, he’ll fizzle. He should end on a controversial high note. Plus, didn’t the Globes get enough heat about Ricky? Are they becoming press whores like Speidi? Ricky–don’t do it–quit while you’re ahead, and leaving people wanting more–or in some people’s case never wanting to see you again.

**UPDATE** NBC asked Ricky back, not the Globes. Either way, I stand strong on my stance–end on a high note, Ricky.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I agree–he should just let it go out on the high or high controversy. It will be hard to top that.

As much as I love watching Ricky Gervais do just about anything, I would have to agree. Pull a George Costanza and walk out on a high note. I don’t necessarily think he would do bad next year, but I also don’t want to see him become “The Golden Globes” host. He’s best when he’s moving around doing different things.
