Rihanna is the latest rumored name for judging The X Factor. I guess she’s in negotiations as we speak…Now for the bad news…they’re reporting that Brit Brit is a no-go for the show, and I’m super upset about the news. I’m sure the producers are thinking Rihanna would be great for the spot because she’s a big name right now, but she’s no Britney Spears.

When Rihanna was a mentor, she was good, but not great. I know she’s a mega pop artist, but I don’t know if she has what it takes to be a judge. I feel like they’re just grasping at straws to get a BIG name, but what they really need is someone that has a big name with amazing street cred that can judge.

My thoughts on on Rihanna–Love her music, but thumbs down.

Well Britney was playing games. If she wanted to haggle, she should have asked for a little more than what they were offering, not double. Even 10 million is better than 0.

But I don’t want Rhianna to do it either. She can’t sing.

Rhianna isn’t that great a singer or judge. But Simon just wants to reach the younger demographic and he can only do that with a pop star that they look up to. And we all know Justin Beiber is too busy.. or has too much dignity. (Hooray for handlers that keep relevant artists from ‘has-been’ judging careers. Because we can all see how much J.Lo and Steven Tyler’s managers hate them.)
