Roseanne To Get Roasted On Comedy Central

Roseanne is the next on the list to get roasted on Comedy Central. The show will tape on August 4th in Los Angeles, and while I think there will be a lot to roast (no pun intended), I don’t think America cares enough to watch her get roasted. The head of Original Programming for Comedy Central said, “Although Roseanne appears to be a demure, soft spoken woman eternally committed to the status quo, we believe under the surface is an explosive, trail-blazing cultural revolution. We are honored to Roast her. Celebrating Roseanne’s unprecedented achievements in comedy and television will surely inspire us to make this Roast more reminiscent of the classic roasts, where the intimacy of friends jousting with each other came through.”

Does anyone care about this one? Or will this just be another Roseanne failure? It’s so crazy to think how she couldn’t do wrong when her sitcom was on, and now she can’t get people to stay on the channel no matter what she does.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I’ll probably watch it…if it a show roasting Rosanne Barr. I don’t know any famous Rosanne’s that are demure and soft-spoken… committed to status quo.

    I’ll watch it.

I can’t help but feel they waited way too long to do this, but it should be fun.

Wow! Maybe you don’t care, but I do. WTF? I suppose the comedians of today are sooo much more relevant and are more deserving of the spotlight…is that what it is? Hmmmm… Chelsea Handler…no, Whitney Cummings…no. Lisa Lampanelli…. oh hell no!

Just because she’s not out there anymore doesn’t mean she no longer deserves to be “roasted”. That’s just a low blow.

It’s called sarcasm people!! Of course she’s not demure- that’s the point! Also, stop hating on her..her blue-collar show, Rosanne, was genius!!! She is STILL hilarious! Y’all must have forgotten how funny she is & what an impact she had on tv & on comedy!! When I had my baby & was at home…SHE made my life bearable!! I still have every show on VHS (I’ve thrown out all my VHS, but can’t bear to let Rosanne go!).
