One ball strong!

Lance Armstrong apologized to his staff at Livestrong, but did NOT make a confession before his Oprah interview. Today TMZ reported that Lance DID admit to doping during his Oprah interview (rumor for now). She probably had some sort of exclusive, so he didn’t let the cat out of the bag before. If the rumor is true, I’m glad he finally came clean. It was the right thing to do–the dude was totally caught. I mean, he HAD to come clean to not be a bigger douchebag than he already is. I have to say (and this is too late), but WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! So many people looked up to him. He’ll probs go down as one of the biggest shams in sports history. I know that’s extreme to say, but that’s what if feels like.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

That one ball strong comment made me spit soda out of my mouth Nads. That was great.

Just proves why he didn’t have the balls to do it before.

Wonder if he will discuss the witness intimidation charges that are pending and were discussed on 60 minutes.
Bully + Liar = Deceptive Dick. Too bad the Livestrong brand had to take the hit.

I have never liked this one ball wonder. Complete egomaniac and I love that after all these years of bullying and lying he is getting what comes to him. I just wish that along with his losing his titles and testicle that he could somehow lose all the damn money he made off his doped up lies. What a great father his kids have to look up to!

My question is why don’t they catch the dopers until after they retire? It’s almost as if they are paid to look the other way. Or rather, they want the recognition for America at that moment (sponsors and endorsements trickle down to everyone) so everyone is accepting of it, but when that all dries up, they hang the athlete out to dry, too. Shouldn’t there be some punishment for the doctors who all gave him clean drug results, knowing them to be false?

It never mattered to me if Lance doped or not, and I don’t see why the government cares either. The only thing I want to know know is if Oprah will forgive Lance and grant him absolution.

And now that there is plenty of evidence against him and he’s confessed, now…NOW he’s ready to throw everyone else under the bus. What a coward.

I never liked him. I always thought he was an arrogant prick. Yaayyy he goes to France and rides a fucking bicycle. What is the big deal? He is doing something that most kids master before the age of 5.pfft.

Then, what really made me want to be a mean kid and push him off his bike was when he dumped Cheryl Crowe while she was dealing with breast cancer. I saw an interview with her, she took the high road and sorta defended his conduct, but it was apparent that she was truly hurt. As anyone would be if they were abandoned when they were at their most vulnerable.

He is garbage and he has always been garbage. He is a perfect example of why it is wrong for kids to hero worship a sports star. If you call riding a bike a sport…

@Robin, I think you’re being way too harsh on the sport of cycling (and yes, I believe it’s a sport). The Tour de France is a grueling, three-week race that includes pedaling through the Pyrenees and Alps (and lest you argue that they get to coast downhill, don’t forget they first have to make their way UP). The bikes have up to 22 gears, and the cyclist has to know which gear to engage and when. Cycling takes both conditioning and skill. A five-year-old successfully balancing and pedaling a bicycle is to the Tour as T-ball is to the World Series.

That being said, I certainly agree with your overall assessment of Lance Armstrong. I was suckered in for the first few wins, but then his personality and arrogance started to show through. His treatment of Sheryl Crow was the last straw for me.

I just can’t forget how he tried to ruin another guy on the team who admitted his usage and named Lance as among the dopers. He not only denied it then but really went out of his way to discredit the guy. The accusations have been going on for years and I’m glad he’s finally admitting to it. And yes, he is a big prick with one ball. Actually, he probably has a little dick and a shrunken ball from all the doping.

I wonder how the 2nd place winners in all those races feel about this?

@zerocool, I doubt that the 2nd place winners could have achieved 2nd place unless they were doping too. The ones not doping were much further back in the pack.

If we are going to admire sports heroes, then Lance Armstrong is exactly the kind of guy who most deserves our admiration. He did what he had to do to win. Doping was just one element of a comprehensive plan to win. He masterfully doped, trained and competed while skillfully sidestepping all efforts to catch him cheating. He pissed off the French with his awesome victories. The only thing that could bring him down from his majestic heights was an $80 million witch hunt perpetrated by bureaucrats in our own government in cahoots with the French.

Love how on CNBC this morning they were reporting that he is counter suing everyone involved including the big wig at Yahoo who he says knew of this when he put the team together.

I agree the enablers should be held accountable but, Lance, you did this and bullied everyone around you into being quiet or joining in. I’d say you’re at the top of the trash heap on this one.

Everytime I see someone with a Livestrong bracelet on still I think…Doucheeeeeeee.

I see what you are saying Cranky about the 2nd placers. I am sure that there was more doping than not doping at the time so to me it levels the playing field.

Even though I was on the guy’s side because it was such a great story that he beat cancer and won then started up a foundation that help so many cancer patients that don’t have the resources like he did, I’m not crushed that he was actually doping.

It’s hard to turn down 40 million dollars.

The Armstrong PR Crisis Team: “I don’t know, Lance. I think there’s only one person that can help you now…”

    Lance: [GASP] “You don’t mean…”

Crisis Team: “We do. Oprah. And we suggest you go in there crawling on your belly.”

Lance was great at being a cheater. He knew just what to do to pass the tests as they existed at the time. The testing has advanced over time, and recent up to date testing done on Lance’s old blood samples showed indicators for doping. Teammates outed him, but science eventually caught up to all the lies. Funny how now that it’s harder to cheat, the current race times are slower than the we’re in Armstrong era. I can accept that he wanted to be competitive, but he was shameless in trying to discredit anyone who spoke the truth. Jerk!
