Seth Meyers is one of three people in the running to co-host Live with Kelly Ripa. The three names in the running are Seth Meyers (SNL), Michael Strahan (former football star), and Josh Groban. Three really odd choices, but great picks!

Starting this Monday, Seth will co-host for a week, which I think happens to be in the middle of sweeps. So we’ll see how he does! If Seth ends up getting the gig, he will supposedly still do the news on SNL, but will most likely have to step down as head writer. Which means SNL will be down another great.

I would be sad to see Seth take a lesser role on SNL, but the news is his baby anyway, and that’s where he really shines…so at least we’ll still have that. As for Seth on Live, I think it’s an amazing idea. It would certainly bring in a younger demo, and liven things up a bit! Go Seth!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Out of those 3, Seth is hands-down the best choice. Josh Grobin? Really!?

I saw Micheal Strahan all week and I thought he was actually pretty good. My vote would be for Neil Patrick Harris. When I have seen him on with Kelly he is always hilarious. My mom said she likes when Pat Sajak is on with her.

On bed rest until the end of the year, so I’ve actually been catching the show rather regularly. Yay for Seth Meyers. Personally, I think she should try out Harry Connick, Jr., but that’s a personal preference. :) Michael Stahan was good, too, but aren’t all of these options busy people outside of the show?

UGH – I prefer her revolving door of co-hosts. I can’t stand Seth Meyers, he’s far too smug and smarmy for my taste.

I’d definitely take Groban or Strahan and Neil Patrick Harris would be AWESOME!

Harry Connick, Jr. is an awesome idea. He is a true charmer, and so funny! I think NPH is great also. I agree with Danielle, it seems like any of these guys would be too busy to stick around for too long, except Seth, but we’ll see.

Not Seth Myers, too smug, doesn’t suit the show. Unfortunately I think he has more spare time for it than the others. The week he was on I kept changing the channel. I like Michael Strahan, he is a much better than Myers, but Josh Groban is my choice. Nice to look at, quick with a comeback, funny and he and Kelly have a good repartee together. Other than Josh Groban I would love to see Harry Connick Jr. try out the co-host seat. He is probably too busy.
