Snooki’s book has only sold just under 9,000 copies since it’s January 4th release date. Ouch! That’s horrible. A publishing exec told The Hollywood Reporter, “The book didn’t do as well as it could have because rather than a tell-all, it was disguised as a novel.” They’re absolutely right. Snooki isn’t Lauren Conrad. The reason Lauren Conrad was able to move so many books is because teenage girls looked up to her; she was a taste maker. Although Snooki is a brand, people don’t want to be like her, they want to party with her, watch her fall on her butt, and see her do cartwheels. Just ANOTHER novel that’s not even completely written by Snooki, isn’t going to cut it. I haven’t opened the novel at the bookstore yet–question–does it even have writing?

I guess The Situation’s novel is doing equally as horrible as Snooki’s. He’s only sold 12,000 copies, and his book’s been out since November. The publishers must be pretty upset, as I’m sure the advance they gave the Shore Kids won’t even come close to being covered after book sales. Sad for them, but honestly I see why sales are down. No one wants to read Sweet Valley High set in Jersey. I mean–I might…depending on the trash, but not always.

Poor Snooks. Well, at least she got a TON of PR and TV spots out of it!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Haha. Proof that nobody wants to hear what any of these people have to say. Just want to watch them do stupid things on TV and laugh.

I don’t think people who can read are her audience, really.
