Today the Style network announced their new shows, and I’m excited about two of them…

Here are their new shows:

Big Rich Texas – they didn’t bring back Dallas Divas and Daughters, but I have a feeling this show will be similar, but way more over the top. They announced that the show will be about Dallas socialite mothers and daughters. So basically, they’re upping their game from DDD. I may know someone who is working on this show…his or her name might rhyme with Mads…

Glam Fairy - it’s a spinoff from Jerseylicious. It’ll be Style‘s new makeover show by none other than the Glam Fairy herself, Alexa Prisco. When I produced the first season of Jerseylicious, I always told our executive producer that Alexa is going to be the one who’ll get the spinoff…and she did!! Alexa is a piece of work…she’ll be hilarious trying to give makeovers.

How Do I look? – From the  press release, “a search for the country’s worst fashion offenders hosted by Jeannie Mai.” Sounds like Fashion Police with a Dateline angle. Great, good talk.

They have a bunch of other shows in development, but since half of them won’t get picked up, I’ll just copy and paste them from the press release:

Birth Moms

This is an intimate and emotional docu-series set inside Orem, Utah’s Adoption Center of Choice, a residential home where expectant mothers complete their pregnancies before giving up their babies for adoption. Having completed their 1,000th adoption in 2009, The Adoption Center provides expectant mothers with a safe and loving haven, a vast network of support, and the opportunity to change their lives for the better as they transition through this complicated and often scary time.

The Amandas

Birmingham, Alabama’s Amanda LeBlanc is obsessed – with organizing, sanitizing and modernizing. In this formatted home makeover show, the self-proclaimed control freak is a detail-focused organizing specialist whose Southern charm masks a killer desire to get the job done right … and right now. Accompanied by a team of like-minded “Amandas,” Ms. LeBlanc takes no prisoners once she has honed in on her target, and you best just get out of the way when she enters your home on her mission.

Single With 7

This powerful and inspiring reality family drama centers around 29 year-old Yesi Ortiz, an afternoon DJ at L.A.’s Power 106 FM radio. Yesi is much more than a DJ however; she is also “mom” to the seven nieces and nephews who were put into foster care when her sister was sent to prison. One by one, Yesi has gained legal custody of her family and is determined to keep them together at any cost, while also pursuing her own career goals and personal aspirations.

Lifestyle Weekly Series

This new topical weekly half-hour series, co-hosted by Adrianne Curry, Vivica A. Fox, Nick Verreos and Ali Fedotowsky, will tackle anything and everything that’s of interest to Style viewers. From exciting in-studio guests, to product demos, makeover segments, field segments and a studio audience, this new daily show will be just as Style-ish as it is informative and fun.

Are You Dressed?

This innovative concept is part game show, part fashion show, and 100% fun. Shoppers are ambushed after entering their dressing rooms, and greeted by our host who begins an on-the-spot trivia game that includes fashion, celebrities, and pop culture. If answered correctly, they earn cash and all kinds of great prizes.

Miss Fit

Boston’s Miss Fit Club is a women-only fitness club run by Katie Boyd, a former beauty queen. Beneath the beauty queen exterior, however, beats the heart of a drill sergeant as Katie pushes her clients – both pageant hopefuls and suburban moms – through their paces. With equal parts tough love and laughter, Katie is a force to be reckoned with as she helps her clients reach their fitness goals while learning a lot about life and themselves along the way.

The Riveras

Set in colorful Queens, NY, this docu-series follows the playfully unfiltered lives of The Riveras, a Puerto Rican family who own two neighborhood dance studios. While building their dream for future generations of the family to carry on, the Rivera sisters – Jorday, Daziann and Tiffany – must focus their efforts on mutual goals while also pursuing their individual passions and lives.

The Look For Less

Until you see the all-new Look For Less, you haven’t seen The Look For Less at all! This classic Style Network franchise is getting its own makeover, fueled by the internet power of social media and YouTube, providing an invaluable platform for women across America to join in the fun. Couple that with all-new makeover stories and friendly competition and you’ve got the best The Look For Less ever.

Makeover Madness

Style is breaking records! It’s all hands on deck for one-of-a-kind events, as a team of experts in hair, beauty and fashion attempt to break world records with the most makeovers in one sitting. Hosted by Cat Deeley, anything and everything is fair game in this new series – from the most bangs cut, to the most eyes smoked, to the most wedding dresses fitted. It’s “Makeover Madness” like never before seen on TV!

Maureen Hancock’s Ghost Town

Maureen Hancock is not your ordinary working mom… she talks to the dead. Maureen has a spontaneous, honest and funny approach to everything she does. It is not uncommon for Maureen to stop strangers on the street and give them impromptu readings, whether they want one or not. With the mission of transforming people’s lives, Maureen helps her clients overcome a wide variety of issues from helping a desperate couple get pregnant, to healing the sick when doctors cannot, to aiding the police when cases go cold. Armed with her two niece apprentices and with help from her quirky sisters, Maureen runs this spirited New England family business with her signature charm.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Thanks for the update Nads. While I am sad about DDD if you say that Big Rich Texas is going to be more over the top then I am all in. I love Jerseylicious. The battle between Olivia and Tracy makes me salivate.

Alexa looks like she lost alot of weight in that picture. Girl is looking good!

I love Jerseylicious but I have to say, the Style Network gets lost in the non-HD channels (at least on Fios). I spend my time in higher numbers rarely checking back (except for Chelsea Lately).. I wish they would get themselves in the game… I also miss when they would show fashion shows during fashion week (at least I think they did). Didn’t they also do Dress My Nest? I loved that show too.

@JERSEY, you should check your channels again. I know that we have Style ND although I am not sure you want to see some of those hags on Jerseylicious in HD. EEK
