Entertainment Tonight allegedly paid $125,000 for Taylor Armstrong’s black eye pictures and interview with Nancy O’Dell. I guess Taylor was completely broke (not shocking) and did it all for the money. Her tell-all interview is supposed to air tomorrow, and I’m sure it’s going to be dramatic as all hell. I’m super disappointed that she took the cash for the interview. I sympathized with her so much more before I read about the money exchange. I don’t know what’s worse–ET paying for the pic or Taylor selling herself out for cash.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I’m hoping for Child Services to enter the picture and take her child away. The harm and damage tha this poor kid will suffer from having both these people for parents will never end.

Taylor is a piece of crapola and all because of a need to become a “star”. ET should be ashamed of their participation in this sleazy tell all that does nothing to protect these poor kids.

That paycheck eradicates all of my sympathy for her. How many battered wives don’t get the option of selling *their* bruises to a fucking entertainment rag?

Oh goody! That’ll pay for two more birthday parties.

As much as people want to blame Taylor for taking the money, let’s remember that she was married to man who was financially ruined and now all those debts are hers. She has a child to support. I’d sell my soul if it was the only means of supporting my child. (I’m not above hyperbole to make a point. lol) Sure, Taylor probably wanted to lay low, especially since she’s been taking a lot of heat, she probably didn’t even want to talk about it, but everyone wanted an exclusive and the offers kept getting higher and higher and then she couldn’t say no. Integrity? Kennedy can’t EAT integrity. And it sure as heck won’t keep a roof over her head. I’d hate myself a teensy bit for showing photos of myself being battered but if I work for a domestic abuse charity, I would say that it affects everyone..even “well-off celebrities” can be touched by violence. I would also encourage others to not continue living in fear and violence as I did. I would also point out that I gathered the strength to leave my marriage and these pictures demonstrate why things were no longer safe for me and my daughter. I loved my husband, but I had to be strong for Kennedy and take us out of that situation. (A pretty good spin, and there are definite grains of truth. Russell was violent to all of his exes. No use making him a saint because he is dead. Show the pics and get the money to help alleviate the debt he left you with.)

Now, if paparazzi snaps a pic of Taylor leaving Fred Segal in the next few weeks, forget everything I just said. :)

My initial reaction was ‘how could she?’ but you make some valid points Sarcas. I might have to rethink this one. Dammit. Lol.

Totally agree with sarcasatire … this chick is in a mountain of debt and supposedly has other housewives helping her pay rent. You do what you’ve gotta do. It’s legal and we all looked at the pics — Why shouldn’t she get cash for them if it’s being offered? I’d do it in a heartbeat if it meant my children could continue to eat and have a roof over their heads. And nice parties, of course.

As for child services – she might be a poor role model but nothing she’s done is illegal. In fact, she removed the child from harm’s way which would garner her big points with DCS. None of this means I like fish lips, though. Can’t stand the scheming woman!!

I stopped feeling any sympathy for her when I found out that she took Kennedy to that house the day Russell was found dead.

Even if she had found Russell alive when she got there, she was alerted to the fact that he was not himself when he would not contact anyone the days before he killed himself and his friend also told her that he was not in good shape.

I don’t know what was going through that stupid woman’s mind to take a child into this type of drama. Kennedy should have never been to that house the day her father died. I have no clue what would possess her to bring that child to what was going to be, at best, a very uncomfortable meeting. If she wanted Kennedy to see her father she should have made sure that he was emotionally ready; and made plans for later. I think she had an ulterior motive and it backfired big time when she got there and he was dead.

She is a disgusting piece of shit.

Maybe she thought seeing Kennedy would cheer him up and help him put things in perspective; show him what’s really important and what matters the most during trying times. I honestly don’t think Taylor would’ve ever thought he’d be suicidal, she called him a ‘macho Texas cowboy.’ (I rolled my eyes, too.) ,
I don’t like Taylor either, especially because she went after my Kimmie, but I can’t build up animosity about her marriage based on speculation. The only facts we have is that she got punched around, which they both admit to.

    When/where is her interview?

She brought that child into a questionable atmosphere. He hadn’t contacted HER for days, the person he did contact told her that he was troubled. She hadn’t talked to him. She had no clue what his mindset was when she went to that house, or how he would react when he saw her.. From all her accounts beforehand, she knew he was violatile.

Yes, I hear all about how good a dad he was and how he wouldn’t have done anything to his daughter. And I hope that is true, but the fact still remains that Russell was going through really deep emotional shit at the time before his death and Taylor’s decision to take Kennedy with her to that house screams to me emmotional blackmail. Except, oops..

There was no need for Kennedy to be there.

I’ve never been much of a Taylor fan. She admitted in her 1st season that their marriage was supposed to be more of a business thing.

So I was never sure if the baby was part of that, or if that was something she did after she decided she wanted it to be more personal and thought having a child would help her get that.

Do we know how big the house was?

If it was one of those huge ass ones like they have on the show, she might have thought that even if he was drunk or whatever, the little girl would never know about it if she left her with somebody who lived there or 1 of the staff and went off to the part of the house where he was.

If it was a regular house, then yeah, she should have dropped her daughter off with somebody before she went over there in case he was too messed up.

I’ve already judged her so much for things she said on the show before, so I’ll wait and see what she says about this before I judge her anymore, because now it seems like there’s a lot more stuff we don’t know about.

    kthxbai,

It isn’t the size of the house for goodness sakes. It is the emotional dysfunction that she would have felt from her parents. Kids notice stuff no matter how big the house.

I cannot believe that everyone thinks that taking that child into a major adult situation was a good idea.

    Oh Well.

@Robinez It’s not that I think it was a good idea.

Now with all this that’s coming out, I’m not sure it was a good idea to have her in their house with them all that time, and I started out not being sure it was a good idea for Taylor to even have a baby in the 1st place.

I’m just saying that there’s more to know about the situation of Taylor going there. I might end up thinking she shouldn’t have even gone there herself or it might’ve been a situation of 2 bad choices and she just happened to pick that 1.

You’re right that even little kids can feel when there’s bad stuff going on with their parents, and it’s sounding now like Kennedy’s had that feeling all her life and not just that day.

    Objection, your honor! Speculation!

No one is saying that it was a good idea for her to take Kennedy to Russell’s house (or where he was staying.) Or that it was such a bad one, either. I believe you are saying that because of what was found when they got there. Hindsight is 20/20. But had he been alive, Taylor going to see her ex after he’s been ducking her calls isn’t the worse thing in the world. Especially since there were other people, Taylor’s friend and Russell’s friend there to act as buffers.

Sad to say, Kennedy grew up with a dad who gave her mom black eyes. The ‘emotional dysfunction’ she would’ve felt in Russ’ friend’s house (had Russell been alive when they got there) would’ve been normal enough to ignore. What kid hasn’t picked up on tension between their parents? Nothing new, and certainly not worth all the scorn. It only seems awful because, unfortunately, her dad was D.O.(H.)A. Dead on her arrival.

And the fact that she grew up with that type of violence..if true..is more reason for her mother to leave her with a caretaker when she went to speak to her husband after days of no communication.

I am done. I am not going to hang around this thread anymore. Y’all are hard headed.

    Objection, badgering the witness!

Robin, we are not hard headed. But if we were to follow your logic, then we would agree that a woman, like Taylor, who witnessed abuse in her childhood home, would never enter into the same type of relationship. We would also agree that she would never allow, nor raise a child in said environment. But what do we know? We have never suffered through Battered Woman Syndrome. We would never let a man hit us, nor would our mother let our father beat her, either.

The truth is, is it very hard to imagine a woman, not only staying in an abusive relationship, but actually pursuing her abuser. We remember when both Taylor and Russell acknowledged that she pursued him, even when he ran away. Even Lisa couldn’t believe this. But you know what they say..we choose the men most like our fathers. Luckily for us, our Dads didn’t give our Moms black eyes.

LOL Very good points Your honor. I plead guilty to being hard-headed and submit that we might all be right about the incident in question.

So far we have insufficient evidence for a ruling but as a friend of the court I believe that any day now we will hear of a book deal that will include more additional details about this sad story than we ever wanted.

These people sell their soul. They open their houses, their lives and let the producers portray them in a way that will make more money. Nothing they do or say should enrage or disappoint anyone anymore!

As a surprise witness for the defense, I would like to raise a point: What if Kennedy had been crying for Daddy for the past week, what if Taylor had communication THROUGH someone else–like the friend saying, “yeah he is depressed, but not violent, very subdued, bring Kennedy if she really wants to come”. Russel and Taylor have been so effed up for so long, waiting for her dad to be ‘well enough’ (and who judges what that is) to see Kennedy could take forever. Plus, from the sound of it, his beef was with Taylor, not the kid. If it turned out that Kennedy had wanted to see him or Russel had requested her presence, and Taylor denied them, then we would be blasting her down for denying him the RIGHT to see his kid (as there was no legal reason not to bring her). I rest my case.
