Entertainment Tonight is going to do an “investigation” on Taylor Armstrong’s abuse photos that have recently surfaced on the web. The pictures look absolutely insane. I feel horrible for her. It’s so crazy to think in hindsight that she was going through all of this and just taking it.

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

    yikes! How sad that she was volunteering at that domestic abuse center/home and admitting that she grew up in a home where there was also abuse.

    I’m going to feel like a real ass if I’m wrong (and will possibly be crucified here), but do we know that these are legitimate photos? Who released them? Taylor is so manipulative, I could see her trying to deflect some of the heat she’s getting in the wake of Russell’s suicide. Granted, the photos could still be real and she’s just using them now to her advantage. But I wouldn’t put it past her to fake photos.

    I read that she is putting her abuse pics in her book. She hastily penned it; should be out in a few months.

    How did she hide her injuries from her daughter? Did Kennedy ever witness the fighting? Last season, Taylor said she’d witnessed abuse as a child and it scarred her for life. I hope she left before her daughter witnessed the same thing.

    LOL@mulecitybabe about her lips. Also when was Taylor called Shanna? Was it during a career as an escort or stripper. (To any Shanna reading this, I don’t mean that your name is bad, just that people don’t usually change their first name unless running from the past.)

    I hope one of them has some stable relatives her little girl can go stay with. Not forever or anything. Just for the next 14 or 15 years.

    RadarOnline has court papers. In 1997/1988 Russell pled no contest to battery on his first wife. That wife and a girlfriend had temporary restraining orders against him in 2004. He was also accused of hitting his sons but do not remember all of the details.

    @Fan-Ann, Taylor was Shana Hughes before she was married. It’s her legal name. I read that Hughes was the name of her step-father so I’m not sure what her name was before. But she changed it to Taylor Ford and she and Russell told people that she was an heir to the Ford Motor Company, based out of Oklahoma. (I thought they were based out of Detroit? But then, how could Taylor be a Ford and go “Oklahoma on your ass?”)

    Domestic abuse is horrible. That being said, I don’t feel sorry for this creep of a woman at all. Shana/Taylor maybe was abused by Russel, but I’m sure it was worth the pay for her. She’ll do anything for money. As soon as the money ran out, she decided to go public and be the victim. If he was still alive and wealthy, this piece of shit would still be throwing tacky 60 grand parties and trying to fit in with the rich people. The only people I feel sorry for in this whole mess is Russel’s 3 children.

    Wow, are/were they the Salahi’s of Beverly Hills? I agree with other commenters, it’s hard for me to believe those pics aren’t doctored. She better hope they’re not because I have a feeling that Russells family will have something to say about them.

    Here is what I don’t understand. These photos look like they were taken in a hospital. Isn’t the hospital required to contact the police? I guess, I don’t understand how this never made it on the radar until after Russel died. I know that many women hide the fact that they are abused, but hospitals are required by law to at least report it even if the woman decides not to press charges. I just remember how when I nearly gave myself a concussion by tripping over my cat in the middle of the night and every single doctor and nurse I came in contact with at the hospital kept asking me if I was safe at home or if there was someone at home who was trying to harm me. I couldn’t imagine going to the hospital with black eyes and no one contacting the authorities because they are legally required to do so – especially since there was a minor child living with the both of them.

    I have never watched this show, but I’m applauded by the reactions to this woman evil or otherwise battered pictures. Regardless she is a woman who was hit by her (now deceased)husband. I understand this is a snark site and love every minute of it…but these comments are a tad too much. /rant

    I wonder if the hospital could get in trouble for not having reported this to the authorities. I also think that Taylor should seriously consider stepping down from the show. I think her daughter really needs something more stable in her life after Russel’s suicide and now Taylor’s book about being abused the the media stories with her abuse photos. That little girl needs a nurturing environment and stable people around her.

    @Sarcas, WOW!! Thanks for all the info. Those articles are astounding. It really seems that Taylor is a grifter, and Russell was also. It is amazing to me that after creating a new identity, including sometimes claiming to be a member of the Ford family, that she was so anxious to be a famewhore that she thought she could be on the show and none of her past would follow her.

    Obviously, no one should ever suffer abuse. In most states a hospital is required to document and report incidents of domestic abuse. Police usually try to interview victims while still in the hospital, give informations regarding women’s shelters, and try to determine if the victim will be in danger if they return home. If the victim refuses all help and refuses to file charges against their abuser, the investigation stops. The photos will stay in a file and are used legally if after subsequent beatings the victim finally wants the abuser stopped. Taylor probably had her attorney obtain copies in preparation for divorce proceedings, and now she is making money off them. I don’t respect her or her choices, but first, last and always, no one deserves abuse.

    @Fan-Ann, that’s what I was thinking. The hospital was required to report this and there should have at least been an initial investigation even if Taylor decided not to press charges. So, unless the hospital failed to report this case, there should be at the very least an initial police report right? I just don’t understand how this was kept so covered up in light of the fact that they were on a reality show, unless the hospital failed to report it, in which case, wouldn’t the hospital be liable?
    The problem with Taylor is that she has been caught lying so many times that I’m not surprised that people are doubting her (I think this is a horrible thing to doubt someone about, but I’m not surprised by it). I think it would be extremely easy for her put all of the doubts to rest by showing the paper work that would have been filed by the hospital, or at least taking the hospital to task for failing to report it (if that’s what happened). It’s a tough situation to be in for sure. She wasn’t very likeable and the cons she and Russel ran have definitely hurt her credibility. Now, she has to raise a very young child while in the spotlight of law suits and abuse allegations. I really think the best thing for her would be to step away from the show and find a way to give Kennedy the stability and nurturing that she needs.
    I am going to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume that she is writing the book so quickly to earn enough money so that she doesn’t need to do the show to support herself and Kennedy.

    there seems to be lots of confusion over these photos. Somewhere I read/heard that she had lasik surgery 5 days before these photos were taken.Some say that in addition to the black eye, there looks like infection do to the lasik? Apparently there is speculation that there was not a broken cheek bone but instead something to do with the actual eye. I’m kinda confused. Also, some are saying that she says that she went to the hosp and then Russell came later, that being said, there would be ample opportunity for medical staff to question the cause of the injuries. In my state, it is a law that physicians/medical personnel report any domestic violence issues they might encounter. IDK, she looks bad and I hope that this is not really from her husband, however it would be pretty darn bad if she connived this whole thing. Unfortunately we will not hear Russell’s side.
