Ted Williams, the man with the “golden-voice” is over it. He bailed on Dr. Phil’s rehab plan, and fled rehab. I don’t know what happened, or why he fled. But looks like he’s can’t handle all the new attention. It’s sad, and I had a feeling this would happen because it seemed too good to be true, but I guess I was hopeful that he’d get it together.

Hope he gets the help that he needs, I know America was rooting for him. Sucks.

Howard Stern was right about him…

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

    I’d flee Dr. Phil, too.

And when I predicted this very thing, I was told by other posters how heartless and nasty I was being.

If people REALLY had wanted to help him, they would have gotten him counseling BEFORE thrusting him into the spotlight. He didn’t need worldwide attention. He needed actual help.

Reason #4,965 why Dr. Phil sucks donkeys. He’s the king of exploitation, he’s the ambulance chaser of talk show asshats. Not saying Ted Williams is not responsible for his actions, but I agree with cattyfan-he needed help before he was paraded around like the second coming of Ed McMahon.

I’m shocked, shocked! I mean why would a man who was “clean” for two years but was still homeless and couldn’t find ANYONE to take him in, not last in rehab when his future (with jobs) on the line.

Cattyfan, because of my job, I’m really cynical but I’m never wrong, so I never feel guilty. The man and I had lengthy convos about this story and how bs filled it sounded.

I think a lot of us predicted this. It’s one of those stories you hope you’re wrong about. The big tip-off was that his family still wouldn’t take him in even though he had supposedly been clean for 2 years. Still, I wish the best for him.

LOL @ the Arrested Development reference.

Yeah, I agree with Cattyfan–the guy did need counseling first. No one ends up homeless without something being broken in them.

I remember what a bad rap and trashing his mother got when she was stand-offish and skeptical of him on the Today show. If anyone knows the person you really are, it’s probably Mom. Screw Dr. Phil where is Jeff VonVondren and Candy Finnegan when you need them

I knew it was over when “Dr.” Phil brought out the girlfriend and tried to get her into rehab as well. I hope he gets the help he needs privately, without the exploitation of someone like Dr. Phil, but I won’t be surprised if he doesn’t.
