The 2011 Time 100 List Is Out

Time has released their Time 100 list for 2011. Some of our TV peeps that made the list were Amy Poehler, Blake Lively, Mad Men creator, Matthew Weiner, Oprah (of course she made it), and a few more.

I like that Matthew Weiner, and A-Poe made the list, but Blake Lively?? I don’t see her being one of the most influential people of the world. It’s kind of an odd choice. Isn’t it?

Some other people of note that made the list are Justin Bieber, producer Scott Rudin, President Barack Obama, Mark Zuckerberg, Sting, Bruno Mars (YES, Bruno Mars…), designer Tom Ford, Prince William and Kate Middleton, and many more.

Besides Blake, I want to know how Bruno made the list. He’s super talented as he can sing, play, write and produce, but the dude is in and out of court for his drug charges. I guess public image isn’t one of the criteria they base this list on…good for him.

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

    I thought Bruno Mars was only arrested once? And then the prosecutor was arrested for the same thing? I didn’t know he was in and out of court. As for Blake, for some reason people love her from one performance (and I have no recollection of what that was) but it seems like people want her to be the next up-and-coming starlet? I don’t get it. I like the other Gossip chic better, Leighton Meester.

    (I just picked a random name.) There are a lot of people on that list though, that garnered a whole “Seriously?” and half a “Whattt??!” from me. Mark Wahlberg? He’s an overrated jerk. Rain? Did the entire country of South Korea vote on the poll? WTF? That one’s a head-scratcher. And Michelle Bachmann . . . what a waste of space.

    I think Hypnotoad should be on the list. At least he makes folks laugh. And making people laugh is important.

    Then again, I did laugh at the list. So maybe Time should be on the list…lol

    I’m with you, Nads. People, or should I say Time, stop trying to make Blake Lively happen!
    Nice girl, but duller than my #2 pencil after a scantron test.
    I’m deep in the rural south relying on the whim of the ‘town’s’ only cell tower for my BB, so I haven’t clicked on the list.
    Have the Kardashians made it? Nene Leakes?
