Chew-Group-3

Here’s the food talk show that soap fans can thank for replacing All My Children. It’s set to premiere September 26th at 1PM EDT on ABC. The show is about all things food, food trends, pop culture, restaurants, and more. It’ll feature hosts: chefs Mario Batali and Michael Symon, Top Chef alum Carla Hall, nutrition guru Daphne Oz, and entertaining expert Clinton Kelly. I kind of want to hate this show, but it looks strangely interesting if you’re into that kind of thing. I just don’t know if it’s my “kind of thing.”

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Nope. Sorry. This is on my list of things like The View and The Talk…shows I will never watch.

I hit my darn enter button before I was done.

Part of the reason this show is so unappealing to me is it’s obvious they’re trying to attract EVERYONE. One black woman. Check. One gay guy. Check. One attractive white woman. Check. One fat balding everyman. Check. Check.

Plus it just looks strained. And not just the peas.

My show pilot “The Rub” got turned down. I would have been a Nate Berkus type, talking about porn, porn, sex toys, porn, and pornography in pop culture.

I don’t understand why. I mean, my show had “The” in the title followed by another short word. I thought that’s what the networks wanted…

If it’s any consolation, NWMTV, I would have faithfully watched your show. Hell, I’d have even starred in it if you’d have let me.

And also, “The Chew?” Like, srsly?

I’ll give it a shot because I love both Carla and Clinton. Watching him on What Not to Wear, and especially on the special TLC did on him renovating his home in CT, really brought his personality into, and seeing how close he is with his working class, motorcycle riding, contractor dad was charming. That and him making an impromptu appearance on one of the early shows because he stumbled upon the filming while he was shopping, hungover, just made him seem game for anything. He wasn’t styled and made up for the shoot, but he was there and gave some advice.

Carla’s Carla and I’ll watch at least one episode of any show she’s on.

But the name really is awful.

I’m a foodie and I really like quite a few of these people. I had a chance to have a meal at one of Batali’s restaurants, and it was divine. Not sure if I would watch the show, but I may check out an episode.

HOWEVER the name is disgusting. It brings to mind little chunks of unappetizing food mixed with saliva. WHOEVER thought that name was a winner needs to be FIRED.

    And NWMTV – hahahahahahaha!!

Okay, I just watched the clip. I think they may be building it up too much. And I just thought of a better title – “the dish” (if they have to go with “the” idea).

Thank you, Melissa and zerocool. Sometimes it gets a little lonely, way out here, so far ahead of the curve.

Oh, come on! What a way to tease! I mean, I’m okay with three of them, but when it comes to Mario Batali, I hate his fat smug ass and his shitty shoes. I cannot stand the guy! But then you go ahead and add Carla Hall to the show? Beaker is there, man, one of the most lovable reality show contestants of all time, she’s finally getting a show. It pains me that I have to put up with that asshole Batali to get to enjoy Carla’s lovable quirkiness.
