I read about this show a while back, and thought no way…but it’s true… @sarcasatire just sent me the promo for The Choice. It’s a new celebrity dating show that’s a cross between The Voice and The Dating Game. The show has spinning chairs similar to The Voice, except there’s no singing…the celebs pick their dates based on the sound of the contestants’ voice. I kind of HAVE to watch this, it looks kind of nutty, but awesome. I wonder if they’ll actually follow the D-listers on their date? It’s almost like they’re dating a phone sex operator–those girls can sound hot, butttterrrr face!

Check out the promo:

The Choice premieres June 7th at 9/8c on Fox.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Was that Cat Deeley hosting? I’ll watch it strictly because I love her…well, maybe not strictly because of her…

Haha! Nads, I just realized that not only did The Choice rip off The Voice in turns of set design and swiveling chairs, they stole their format, too! It might not be singing, but the ‘judges’ choose strictly based on “the voice.” Hahahaha…this would be such an awesome SNL skit but I never would’ve thought it could be a show.

So far they only show hot girls…where’s the fun in that? I want a couple of trolls with sweet voices to throw a monkey wrench in the whole game.

Gotta see this one. We at least know fer sure that two of the D- listers are disease-ridden. Maybe the others just want to get in (!?) some face time to land a gig.

The voice choices are a tad grating so far.

Thanx you two for teaming up to bring us this….

@Sarcastire – I’m with you. What’s the fun in all the girls being hot? I want it to work like the “Sweet Emotion” video.

I am in– this is a very drink-friendly show—I am sure there will be a “catch-phrase” that is born very quickly. I will play along too and just leave my glasses off— I love fixing people up!!!!!

If one of the girls was Pauly D’s stalker chic from Jersey Shore this would be worth watching.
