The Good News Is: The World Didn’t End…

Well the world didn’t end yesterday, so everyone can simmer down knowing the Mayans just got tired and didn’t feel like doing a calendar past December 21st, 2012. In their defense, who knew we’d last this long? Doing a calendar up to 2012 should have almost been precaution–not something that would potentially exist.

I should have known the world wasn’t going to end yesterday because I thought everyday was the end of the world when I was in Jr. High, and I’d still wake up living. Pfft.

Anyway, I’m writing this post out of boredom because I’m at my mom’s house for the holidays–which means I have too much time on my hands…while bored I stumbled upon some “end of the world” videos. Some made me chuckle, and some made me want to take a bath with my hair dryer…

This one is sooo bizarre. Here’s some random dude and his webcam stand-up debut. I think the laugh track was stolen from Three’s Company.

The only person who really had it right was R.E.M.

Thank God the world didn’t end, because I don’t know if I’d be able to endure another round of videos.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I am sure that next year the world will end again because the planet Xenu is going to collide with Saturn and make a baby planet that will knock the Earth off it axis.

The end of the world videos will never go away. It is depressing. You would think people wouldn’t want the world to end because of, well, THAT WE DIE! It is better not to know. It makes life more interesting.

    Have a great Christmas Nads!!

I’m beginning to think some of these people don’t know what they’re talking about. If we can’t trust the Mayans, who can we trust?
