“Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered.” – CBS Program Practices
“My God Portia, she has BACON in there!”
The 55th Annual Grammy Awards were relatively conservative this year. Most of the attendees DID comply with CBS’s wardrobe rules and dressed appropriately for prime-time television. Some of the ladies found ways to show off their assets and not “bust” over the line. Others just couldn’t help themselves!
Katy Perry and Kelly Rowland both decided that they paid way too much for their “assets” to not show them off. I don’t blame them. Where else, but the Red Carpet, can you show them off? By the way, Kelly Rowland is on my “Best Dressed” list. I love those shapely cut-outs. Katy Perry said she was inspired by Priscilla Presley’s look from the 70′s, with her big black hair and thick eye lashes. Boyfriend John Mayer was all decked out in royal blue velvet, looking nothing like Elvis. Not even any blue-suede shoes!
Taylor Swift started the show off with a BANG! She belted out her sung-to death song “We Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together.”, BUT she did it with a twist. This time it had a harder, more
spiteful edgy tone to it. She even slipped into an English accent once, imitating her most recently departed boyfriend! HA! She’s such a bitch…. for all the world to see. I LOVE it!
“So he calls me up and he’s like, I still love you, and I’m like, I’m sorry but I’m busy opening up the Grammy’s and we’re never getting back together!”
Taylor Swift changed the words to her famous song just for the opening of the show! The theme of her elaborate performance was “Alice in Wonderland” with her dancers all decked out in Wonderland characters, while her ex-boyfriend was restrained on a spinning wheel.
Here’s Taylor Swift on the Red Carpet. I think her white gown is very elegant and the silver trim is a nice accent. I think she’s a “Best Dressed”. Alicia Keys, in her black leather-strapped dress, is also stunning. Her look is a bit more mature, but has the same effect. She’s also a “Best Dressed”.
