Wow, the Jersey Shore cast is moving up in the world. They just made Barbara Walters’ 10 Most Fascinating People List for 2010. Isn’t that insane??? I mean, I find them completely fascinating, but the fact that Babs does too? Her heart surgery must have gotten to her.

Other people that have made Babs list in the past are: First Lady Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Kate Gosselin and Adam Lambert.

The special airs on December 9th on ABC.

**Update** The press release I had gotten was even corrected. Thank you @hightemp for catching that! It did seem a bit odd to me, but I reported it anyway. So Tom Cruise, Kate G., Lady Gaga, and the rest were all from last year. I still think Tom, and Kate G. being on last year’s list is suspect, don’t you?

The Jersey Shore kids WILL be honored this year.

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

    How in HELL did Tom Cruise make that list? He did an impersionation at wome awards show… but did I miss a movie? a news report? a clue people,help me out! Honestly yhe train wreck of mel Gibson in more interestingto me. At least he would show up drunk and offend 75% of us. Tom will just make me ill.

    Word, Giff! I loathe Tom Cruise and I don’t understand the fascination.
    I’m completely on board with Mel Gibson showing up shit-faced and offending 75% of us, but all the while being FASCINATING! I mean, a billionaire movie star sabotaging himself like that is nothing, if not fascinating. Tom Cruise has been irrelevant for quite some time now, and unless he denounces Scientology and starts spilling its freaky secrets I have no interest in him or anything he says or does.

    I’m pretty sure you’ve got some bogus info here…or at least you’ve got a bunch of lists mixed up. Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Kate and Adam Lambert were all on the 2009 list (special aired December 9, 2009). Im pretty sure Jay Z, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise were all on past years as well. This years list hasn’t been announced yet so the Shore kids could (and probably are) on it….but I dont think the rest is correct.

    thank you @hightemp. The press release I had gotten was even corrected this morning. I fixed the post. I was a little confused too, by it, but I was like…whatevs? Maybe they made it again???

    And @Jeanie, and @gifordsaz: I have NO idea how Tom made the list last year…like NO idea.
