Oh god, here’s the big internet controversy of the day…Did Conan rip-off Kimmel?

Here’s the quickie: Kimmel ripped Sarah Palin’s audio from her reality show, and inserted it in the famous Rudolph clamation cartoon. And so did Conan, but Conan used some reality in his version.

Here it is, you decide:

And here’s Conan’s version:

I don’t know if Conan ripped off Kimmel, I think it was an easy comedy joke. I mean anyone who watches Sarah Palin’s Alaska would have come up with that same joke. It is odd that they both used the same cartoon…

Kimmel did it first, so I guess Kimmel wins? What do you think?

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Anytime anyone makes a good joke about Palin, it’s a win for the American Way of Life.

Hey, give credit for the apology–I don’t think Leno has ever apologized for ripping off other comedians.

In Leno’s defense, if he started apologizing to every comedian he’s ever ripped off, it would become a daily event…

I came up with that joke as well, but I didn’t have access to a film crew at the time. Really, it was just laid out there and the fastest to it got it…at the same time, both were pretty good. An obvious take on the segment. No rip offs here, methinks.

And Conan, he would never rip anyone off so intentionally and yet he would totally give credit to his comedy heroes and influences….hey, funny is funny…but his writers may need to kick some researcher’s ass.

They’d do us all a big favor by ignoring that publicity-hungry Tundra whore.

Well technically they’re both ripping off Mad TV’s Raging Rudolph, who did it first and best.
