Italy has not blocked Jersey Shore from filming in their country, but the mayor of Florence, Matteo Renzi has put down some ground rules for shooting the Jersey Shore: Italy.

Here they are:

– The cast will not be filmed in bars and clubs that serve alcohol.

– The cast will not be filmed drinking in public.

– The show will not be filmed to promote Florence as a drinking town.

– The show should be filmed in a manner to promote Italy (not Americans visiting Italy) and feature it’s culture and good food.

–And they’re banned from shooting in the city’s historic buildings.

So basically JWoww can’t squat down wasted peeing on the big replica statue of David in the Palazzo Vecchio. And Snooki can’t wastedly dive off the Ponte Vecchio to take a swim. I can’t wait to see the reaction shots of the Italians when these wastoids land. It’s going to be the best fish out of water TV I’ve seen in a while.

Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

    Ok, but seriously? Can’t drink in public and won’t be filmed in bars? What is this, the travel channel??

    There is a whole lot of Italy outside of Florence. They can just go elsewhere. Florence has a lot of rules that don’t exist elsewhere in Italy. For example, I was originally going to get married in Florence, but they had all of these crazy rules like you have to get married between 9-10 in the morning on certain days and you must do this and can’t do that. We went to the Vatican instead. They had less rules. :D

    Are they definitely filming only in Florence? I haven’t heard anything except what has been posted here at the gasm. Wait, let me rephrase that.. I don’t give enough of a rat’s ass to look anywhere but here at the gasm. :D

    OH Lord, I’m so stoopid. I just realized that it doesn’t mean that’s where they are staying, that’s just the rules of THAT city, if and/or when they are there. Just ignore me.

    So, they pretty much can’t do the shit that plastered their names across every gossip outlet known to man?

    I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m looking forward to this season.

    I think this is Florence’s really round about way of saying “don’t come here”. So much of the show revolves around clubbing. I think it’ll make a good episode or two but not a whole season. Although no one said anything about drinking at the hotel they’re staying in.
